I didn't ask for new servers. I moved to this one because all my friends quit and said, "Why not?" I'm not leaving it. I was saying it was more of a veiled threat. I hope the devs see reason and fix the game

If anyone on Maduin needs tank and healer for expert, 90 me and my friend Adonis will help if we can, can't find us probably check gold saucer unless it's Saturday then we are running treasure maps.
I only bring it up because I came with a solution to the problem in a way that doesn't affect the current situation in any way. The only thing that would change is you wouldn't need to data center travel. You still could, but it would be unessicary to do so for queuing. You could still do it for hunts or raiding, etc. Nothing would change on the average players end.
I just can't understand why it matters to aspects like community when my change would keep Dynamis players on Dynamis.
That only leaves technical and logistical issues of which you and I, for that matter, haven't a clue on. It could be literally impossible to do so. I don't know, but I at least have an idea.
DC travel as you know is a bit of an involved process, you cannot simply go to another DC world from a home aetherit like you can from worlds withen a DC. And it is impossible as of now to travel to a dc in ANOTHER region (so no NA character to jp world/dc visit without outright transferign the whole character data )
such things are an involved process, its outdated hardware and coding that only recently they have had time (and money) to do neccesary touchups to make things like world to dc possible, but even dc travel isnt very "clean"
This is why CROSS DC PF will likely be a long , long ways away where the money for hardware updating is easy, but having the time to wrangle with code thats still loaned over from the ps2 days, will be more hampering.
I think level does need to be considered as a factor. My alt has just gotten to SB. I've noticed since the server first started that queues for everything except Alliance Raid have gotten faster. I got lucky on an AR yesterday with just CT unlocked currently that it was about 10 minutes. Normal Raid took me about 40 minutes and was my longest queue. When the server first started, even Leveling took a long time.
I think the endgame probably is sparse as some report, but I feel that's because new players are still progressing. It feels very much to me like when Jenova was new and small and sometimes our queues took a while and if you got there before the rest of the population caught up, then it would be even slower. Now we're regularly congested. I do think the DC needs more time for the population to get up to the current content. The 50/60 content seems to be fairly well populated.
