At this point Im convinced they watch somebody else play, and judge everything on 2nd hand experience; Vicariously through somebody else. Because their Profile doesn't exactly reflect recent play, or give any idea that they are still actually playing the game..
But hey, maybe this is all a front and its another Alt for all we know.
I don't know, maybe wait a few days before complaining about a lack of content?
Keep telling yourself things like housing are easy fixes while tuning out sane voices and you'll always be disappointed.
Well, if he was both honest and informed that way, he wouldn't be able to make his inevitable "here's my latest reason FFXIV is bad (even though I still play it constantly)" post. I mean, did anyone expect our OP to ever say anything positive? He lives purely to be bitter, and it's actually rather sad.
You use major patch as an example like they aren't just the same patch, neatly sliced into pieces as not to... "overwhelm the community". Which we all know is a lie, it's to drip-feed it for subs and to give the illusion there's "heaps" of content to do, when some things listed will be as minor as a yellow quest with a single cutscene. Nice bad faith take though.
All I know is that it is embarrassing that this is the state the game is in nearly 11 months into Endwalker. We somehow have less fresh new content than we did back in Shadowbringers and worse rewards besides. We have no promise of something worth logging in more than once a week for until 6.35’s Deep Dungeon, assuming that they don’t strip it of rewards and leave it in a state as bare as Variant/Criterion’s rewards. Not to mention the writing – as pointed out in this other thread regarding the disastrous state of the Omicron quests.
My praise is hard earned. Once a standard is set, I will hold things to that standard and analyse based on that. Endwalker so far has not proven satisfactory, but I want it to be successful and be more than what it is right now. I don’t go looking for reasons to be dissatisfied with the game. I like looking for things that I can give honest praise to but aside from Pandaemonium’s writing there hasn’t been much in the way of that. This isn’t a position I like being in, but someone has to speak openly about the issues FFXIV is facing. Because goodness knows that none of the influencers in SE’s pocket are willing to do so.
