So, the reality is what it is. They can't get new servers. You can choose to believe they're liars and just don't want to spend money. Having insufficient servers has the potential to cost them money in the long run though, so, I'm not sure why they'd willingly do so. There's long queues, and a disconnect issue while in the queue. Maybe there is a fix that can be figured out for that last one.
They told us well ahead of time this was likely going to be the case. They gave 7 days of free game time because many people are unable to get in and play, with a promise to reassess and potentially provide more if the situation doesn't improve. It sucks, but so long as they are giving free time I don't know what else you want. I've been sitting here for an hour waiting in queue and if it proceeds at the same pace, I've got another hour to go. It's not fun, but it is what it is. If you can't deal with the queue, wait till the end of the 7 days and try again - you're not getting charged for those days anyway. -

It is pretty unacceptable. I love 14 and its developers, but the level of defensiveness from the community is astounding. No matter how much people love Yoshida doesn't make this situation any less unacceptable. It's bad. It doesn't need apologies or excuses, it needs solutions yesterday.
Someone in this thread saying wait a month rolled my eyeballs out of my skull. I'd prefer people would try to contain their frustration and be civil about it, but in my opinion the vehement forgiveness for the situation and the dogpiling on anyone that expresses frustration is equally as toxic. Like, do you not want the game to be better? -
