To be fair, some appear to do just that. But I can only recall seeing one such listing over the past month or so. The rest send you to Discord where shady things most likely happen.

Agreed im glad theyre adding gil sinks but i was very disappointed to see it's just gold colored beast tribe mounts. I hope they make unique gil sinks for this in addition in the future. Not a huge fan of the gold and probably won't buy them all even though i would probably be able to.
Where can you see a picture of the gold colored mounts?

Starting at about 1h31m (YoshiP also shows off the final gwiber mounts just before that).
I think a more effective gil sink would be adding a gil cost to glamour plates. Nothing crazy, but if it was like 5k a swap that would add up.
It's hard because you really don't need gil for anything as an average player. I mean maybe teleports, but there's nothing to passively take gil out of the economy. Housing doesn't even work because people have 100s of millions and the house didn't put a dent in that. Also you don't need a house so.
Why do you hurt me...
But seriously, I'm not sure this idea has legs if only because we can tie glamour plates to gear sets.
I have this for all of my tanks so when I swap (for example) from DRK to PLD it auto glamours for me.
So... this would potentially hit people for 5k each time they swapped their class...
Oof...
No, no I ment if you swap the plates. Like if you changed the tank glamour from one thing to another. You would've paid the 5k the first time you applied it that's it unless you change it. Or at least that's how I saw it. It's a total rip off of how Wow's transmog system charges though that's based on how much you change and it's far more robust than what we have.
But in terms of in game gil spending it seems almost exclusively on glamour since it's considered the true endgame and such. I was just thinking what would get the most money. Much like the phantaisa idea the guy had a few pages back. SE makes a killing on vanity.
