New Relic weapon quest - are we down to 1 hour content already?

but that content also negates everything before it and is short lived (example Ruby weapon is now pointless to do). There was a literal interview about that where they specifically said they have no plans to do that despite the massive number of people asking for harder 4-man content.

It's literally the first step, acquisition. That's always braindead easy.
I expect the first upgrade to be more of an investment, but I also expected this to come with the first upgrade so...

I think there will be some Eureka style content to come. Personally Eureka was a lot of fun for me and relatively popular as far as relic chases go in my opinion. Instances still have quite a few people and many are still doing BA. I'm happy with the new relic introduction.

No matter which MMO it is, there will always be people who burn through content no matter who much it is. There isnt enough content a dev could do to satisfy that play style. For a first step, I dont really see what the problem is. I'm still trying to farm light for the anima relic. It's tedious. Its repetitive. And at time it can be fun and it times its not.

We dont need a complete slog like that again.

I want to see what they mean by blend. I've gone back into Eureka recently after all the nerfs; still nah.

If it weren't for all the rewards they stuck in there to incentivize the content, I doubt as many people would still be doing it. Glad that at least some of the rewards are MB tradeable; so I can just buy them off the MB and do content that I enjoy

Fate and Dungeon spam for relics is garbage... 100% agree. I hated that in ARR and HW... alot. Eureka was better in my eyes, but the first 2 areas were still flawed. After that got better. They needed to take that and build on it, fix the issues, and build on it not toss it away.

And you are wrong about no mmos being able to do that, most modern mmos ok that I agree with. But I use to put 50-60hrs a week into mmos back in my college days, now I average 30 pre-stay at home / 40 current since I cannot leave the house. I had mmos I played where that 60hrs was 100% filled with progression content for years at a time with no breaks. Now todays mmos are more casual focused granted, but the amount we have is not ok. I expected relics to take say 1-2 weeks for a normal gamer (20-30hrs) per relic weapon... I think that would be a ok progression rate for a casual style mmo. This is more or less designed for people who play 30mins a week.

While this may be true for many people... there are also players who aren't going to be playing the remake (I speak for myself here as an example) so it would have been nice to have something more substantial. Given that the relic is traditionally content to keep you occupied for the better part of the expansion, having it able to be completed so quickly is a bit disappointing. Even if it has more steps and you were going to play the remake, it's always been something you could come back to later on.
