They are pretty much like some other actions in the game. Like Bahamut's Akh Morn & Wyrmwave. They are there in the SMN action list but can't be triggered alone or placed in the hotbar alone. Instead you have to use Egi Assult to tigger them.

It is certainly something I wanted to see to motivate or reward players that level multiple Jobs beyond their individual Job storyline even if they don't use that job once they finish the Job storyline.

Though Summoner got it a bit easier since they can unlock 2 of the 4 due to Summoner/Scholar double Job roles when leveling only with 1 of the Jobs. So players who only want to just unlock the Finale Job Role Quest will best find leveling Summoner/Scholar a more time efficient path.

Yes, Egi Assault triggers the pet to use the corresponing skill; thats literally what I said?
The poster I was referring to implied pets weren't entities anymore and summoning them would simply change the Summoners own skills, which is incorrect.
Egis are still entities, and they still use their own skills, the method of commanding them to do so is the only thing thats changed.

I think the main change to pets is that everything is a player activated skill outside of the pets auto attacks/heals.
You have to make room to weave stuff you didnt have to before.

All good. It even shows it near the end of the video I posted with all pet actions on the screen and them showing the same text at the bottom of being unable to place on hotbar.

I'm not aware of ARR and HW Bait being removed. My understanding is that these new baits are being added AS options so that players can carry less bait around as a convenience. If a player's intent is to catch a specific fish only, then using the correct bait that will focus on their target fish and minimizes the amount of extraneous fish that could potentially be caught should still be a thing.

Going to check out the new items from veteran rewards first thing

The following adjustments have been made to limit breaks:
The rate at which the limit break gauge fills when using healing actions has been reduced.

But why though? Does anyone have a good answer for this?
