Removing Tank Stance Argument

If WAR keeps the stances, at least streamline it so you don't have to waste 2 buttons on them. There's never a time you DON'T want to be in a stance, so why not turn WAR's stances into a simple toggle? The same applies to PLD oaths, but those really should just go the way of the dodo entirely.

What they are saying about RDM make no sense though, you can't nerf Verraise that much AND still nerf this job instead of increasing his dps. While it is possible that tank stances will be gone, i wouldn't take all what these leaks are saying for granted.

Just a week till they reveal things officially atleast, that'll put any fake news to rest. Not so much any news that might be real if people don't like it (lookin at you apparently 300 second Verraise.)

If they remove the stances then enmity as a whole will need to be reworked. That is a huge thing to do in 2 years. Rework healers, rework tanks, rework mp/tp, and rework enmity? Yea I doubt that.

I don't think I could say Shirk isn't overtuned for it's purpose, but I also don't think it contributes any more *potential cancer* than other abilities like Trick Attack or Balance cards or BRD songs do.

I could very easily see both sides, MT/OT split might mean swaps are less likely to occur thus they get rid of Shirk. Or stances/threat generation are substantially changed to where Shirk is a meaningful (instead of overpowered) tool. Either way..

I wish they'd just add a DPS stance for DRK and rework it along with Sword/Deliver with a +25% Damage taken and +25% Damage dealt to compliment the -25% Damage Taken and -25% Damage Dealt from our Tank stance while keeping or adjusting WAR HP pool buff, while reworking skills to act different depending on stances, like Shadow Wall for example, they can make it buff +30% damage for 10s under DPS or -30% damage under Tank stance. That way if people's play style is to DPS they can DPS or if they want to Tank they can Tank, it would probably fix our not enough tanks in Q's woes too.

I'm pretty sure that would only make tank queue's worse more than anything. Permanently locked into one playstyle only when tanking (and one that makes healers AND the tank player even more bored), whilst doing inconsequential damage. Or pretty much baiting over the few tank players who still main tank into DPS by giving their favourite aesthetics a pure DPS option so they no longer have to play blue DPS and can just be DPS DPS?

Well no, not permanently locking them but still allowing them to switch back and forth like we can now but adding more of a consequence to wanting to be a DPS, +25% damage taken vs how it is now where the consequence for being in Tank stance is, -25% damage dealt. Especially in instances that require 2 tanks where tank swapping will not only mean literal swapping but also stance swapping. From a healers point of view, an undergeared or not very skilled tank when it comes to CD management and boss anticipation would be stressful; as it now, it can be stressful either way though. The whole Q thing, I don't know why I mentioned it cause it wouldn't change at all. . .

this would be worse and will split the tank comunity even more about this matter, the moment we find a way to tank or use support and invu skills to survive what we need to survive and spend full time in dps stance we will back to the start with even more lower skilled and missinformed tanks messing around, plus the self proclamed tank DPS lovers will never want to be MT if there is no option to just eat the damage penalty.

tank stances need to be change or removed not only for his lack of sinergy with the game desing but to make tanking more straight forward from the begining.
