Please do not nerf Astrologian instead buff WHM/SCH

I was talking about healer roles in particular, didn't mean to step over the role lines if that was implied :P

As for if SCH was the superior off heals: AST would still have balance. If they reverted it to the 10% single target it used to be there would still be a fairly significant damage boost when used as an AoE. I would like to at least think it would be significant enough for an AST to still be taken in over SCH depending on the group. (Or they would take both a NIN and AST since, with luck, the vulnerability up and balance being used at the same time would be a pretty awesome damage buff :P)

EDIT: And to reiterate from my original post; I do not believe AST needs any nerfs. I think it's where it needs to be. WHM and SCH need a few buffs.

Like I was saying in an earlier post of mine, I know for a fact that AST does not need any nerfs, AST and WHM right now are on par with eachother (maybe WHM could do with a lil bit of a buff), but if SCH is falling behind, then it shouldnt be blamed on the other two, so I agree with you File2ish.

Scholar needs buffing. I have started leveling Astro and I feel it is where it should be and I am at level 64. I have not played whm yet but have heard it is doing really good. I really hope they buff sch and not nerf astro and whm down to sch level. that would really hurt everyone.

WHM is fine, I solo heal both EX primels.. So not sure why we need a buff. Do we need our lv70 skill "fixed" sure.. But buffs? No!

SCH MP was hit so hard.

They increased MP cost for some spells and reduced MP gain (This hit both SMN and SCH since they share same base class ACN).

They should either increase MP cost or reduce MP gain, not both.

It's entirely possible to solo heal them on SCH as well.

The ability to solo heal primal fights (the easiest ones in the game, even) means absolutely nothing as far as inter-class balance goes.

Why should another healer come close to it they are different classes with different strengths and play styles. I main Astro and I have to say that would be silly to take away their strength, astro is a great quick spot healer with good rotation on cards and I even like the new skills. Let them adjust other classes don't take away from astro cause another class cannot do it wouldn't make sense their different classes for a reason.

I've pretty well given up hope at this point of seeing any kind of actual support skill pop up on WHM at this point so at this point I'm just focusing on fixing the kit we've got.

Lilies: I'm done fighting this battle. While I wish they were more useful they are what they are. Best we can hope for is a slight increase to the percentages of reduction.

Benison: Honestly I'd like to see it divorced from the Lily system. Right now it's our only skill that demands we have at least one Lily to use it. Barring that make it consume ONE and only ONE lily that way I don't avoid it if I have multiple lilies. Or, have it's percentage increase depending on the number of lilies it eats.

Plenary: Okay, this thing is just...is it even supposed to go with WHM because it has about 0% synergy with the rest of our kit. It doesn't care about lilies, it doesn't work with our HoTs, it's an AoE heal that doesn't trigger off any of our AoE heals. What it is an underwhelming, unplannable tank heal. Make Plenary use Lilies, pure and simple. Increase it's timer if you have to. Give it a mana cost if you have to. If not that then Confessions need to either stay around forever until consumed or proc more often off of more of our healing kit.

Oh and could you make it so I don't see the other WHM's confession stacks on players? That would be nice.

I regret I have no decent imput on SCH. I hadn't really played around with it as much as AST and WHM during HW and I haven't touched it at all since SB dropped.

SCH got hit so hard with it's suddenly sky high MP costs. The fact is, I don't at all feel like I can't complete content as a Scholar, but I would feel completely different if I couldn't use Lucid Dreaming AND Aetherflow. Despite the latter's buff. It's like healer hard-mode now.

Even lowering the costs by a few percent would help bring SCH up. If anything, Selene is more useless than ever, as I depend on Eos's regen aoe and heal potency up aoe too much.

Maybe not a complete rework.

But instead of their aspected heals being regen/shield perhaps they should be aspected to whatever card is drawn, save for the minor arcana cards. 50% effect for A. Benefic, and 25% for A. Helios.

That way it would have its own identity as a Buff Healer vs. White Mage being a Pure/Regen healer and Scholar being the Sheild Healer.
