lol everyone bashed me for trading it in i just didn't have that magic to me <.< It felt like GTA with rpg elements lol

Edit: i think US gamers love anything with open world in it that auto makes the game = gopod cause it gives a false sense of freedom, I say this being a American gamer.

whats worse is FF VERSUS has just started full production about a month or two back even though the game has been in development for what...5 years now?
FFXIII-2 is created off of time and resources wasted on making the first one. "we had so many zones, monsters and concepts that we spent much time creating left over from FFXIII that we figured, why not just use those to make a sequel?" thats kind of a massive red flag to me.
i swear to god if i was a billionaire id hire my team and my game would be:
gorgeous, both characters and zones (as every game should be)
seamless open world (which FFXIV currently isnt and will not be in the future)
filled with voiced cut scenes
realistic yet fantasy looking armour and weapons
tons of amazing spells. half of which just look different than others to suit your aesthetic play style!
NPC buddy systems... ugh the list goes on
no MMO satisfies me and i dont think any ever will...

i kind of have to agree.
i think lady gaga is nothing but a cheap marketing ploy and cant stand the fake trick, but i cant argue with what sounds good to the masses. i mean, how many of you listen to Bjork? shes a musical genious in my book but shed never reach britteny or gaga sales.

then again FFXIII had a large amount of initial sales yet i read nothing but mixed to slightly negative reviews, from the battle system to the linear story line to the excessively predictable character personalities to the annoyance of vanille.
there was one part in the game where Snow got upset so he threw himself on the ground, eyes closed and i thought to myself "lol omg watch hes gonna hammer fist the ground" AND LOW AND BEHOLD HE DID JUST THAT lol how trite.
i myself played up until i got the shiva sisters and never looked back.

ps, i think the battle system in skyrim sucks. well at least on PC... WHERE IS MY ACTION BAR?

Wonder if the real reason behind this postponement is that they just didn't want to give 2 major version updates in the same day... FFXI is having an update on Wednesday raising the cap to 99. FFXI I'm guessing would be given priority since it's actually gaining money and not bleeding it.

I'm dealing with what again? That Skryim sold 3.4million copies in two days? One of the most highest ranked video games of the season by mainstream media, and independent gaming sources? It is not without it's glitches, but that's not the point. Overhyped is definitely an opinion. FFXIV is a superbrand and it flopped. Skyrim sold hardcopies, and still receives praise despite glaring issues.
