Unchained. Seriously, why are we not abusing this skill?

Using Unchained doesn't put anyone at risk. You don't understand how the skill works or how it works in the context of other game mechanics, please read back on the thread to educate yourself.

You lose virtually nothing from pressing the CD.

Unless... You aren't arguing about the Stacks giving parry being > then 33% more damage+threat... are you?

The skill does not in any shape or form, make you less of a tank. If anything, it makes you a better tank to press your Unchained. You build more hate(tank job), you survive better with stronger self heals(tank job), and surprise, you deal more damage(tank job) at no cost to YOU or YOUR group. It is infact, costing your group by NOT doing damage. Because you're putting STRESS on your healers by making the fight longer then it needs to be.

Tank, Healer, DPS does not mean all you do and should do, even if the tools are available to you, is Tank, Heal, and or DPS respectively. You are given far more tools then that and it is in the best interest of the GROUP to maximize all your tool sets and striking the perfect balance as tanks or healers in managing your survival and ability to contribute to the completition of the fight (Kill X enemy).

Edit: You can bypass the 1000 character limit by typing what you want to say in something like Notepad, making a dummy post, and then edit that post and paste your notepad post into it and clicking save.

Sheltron was a bigger difference maker in A3S than it is in any of Midas. Sheltron was also better in Ravana EX (which was the hardest fight in the game before Gordias was released), Thordan EX (which was the third hardest fight in the game when released), and Sephirot EX (which you could consider not end-game content, but I think if a fight is one of the 5 hardest fights in the current content cycle, it should count) than it is in Midas.

There are perfectly fine ways to showcase the merit of Sheltron. Midas is not that way. If anything SE probably purposefully made Sheltron worse in Midas as to help balance PLD and DRK's viability in content. They probably saw how much DA DM threw a wrench in PLD vs. DRK mitigation and didn't want to repeat that error except in favor of PLD.

Once again for the 3rd time the particulars of what the skill does isnt and from the thread title was never in question. The question was why its not used more . The answer as stated restated and explained is- in essence it turns you into a regular dps for 20 sec with a extremely long cooldown so its more or less a 1 off skill ( dont assume everyone uses it correctly that is accually very rare) so is it worth it to have over a boost of a different type with both a shorter recasted and longer duration. When waighed aginst a accual run not just looking at what it does . Its not practical to losen aggro or defense to recycle something u have to wait forever to redo . Think about it theres already lessin aggro generation specing half in vite for damage cuse str=hate . Its not overused cuse there are better ways to do the job.

I seriously have no idea how using unchained would mean losing aggro. It negates defiance's dmg penalty but not the aggro/hp/heal bonuses.

Between 2 and 300 at a refreshable 20 to 30 sec with addition of a pet to boast 170 to 200 per attack and added nonstop . There is clearly no way on this blue earth that one 20 second inerval of damage is going to even come close . You fail to take in account were not talking about a single second this is a whole battle theres no contest .

Useing it doesn't cause aggro loss that is not the issue or statement stop thinking that right now .

The statement implies using it in sussession (regular combo)for wrath reup or simply casting infuriate to do a single attack when using the space u could have added a skill to either attack or defend .

Simple . Put the way they put it there cycle of damage only hits an area once while wrath reup combo on 1 . Failing to realize theres more then 1 the mobs wont stay and wait for them to redo the same cycle while the healers are casting and the dps are hitting that means while this fake super tank is stable hold on 1 the rest walk away wipe the group cuse it only takes a second then its respawn everyone .

What are you even talking about? Go level your warrior high enough to actually gain the ability, try it out for a couple weeks, then come back and talk about it.

Too bad warrior doesn't have an AoE skill like Overpower that gives insane hate, or the ability to cross class Flash. Oh wait, they do.

Its painfully obvious that people arnt thinking past the skills use . Or factoring the fact that at minimum there are 3 others in the group 2 of whitch will hit faster and more frequently then the tank and one who will draw 360degree casting aggro also more frequently then a combo compleation . Being the tank does not mean ur the only aggro generator . In that aspect the cooldown alone sets the skill space better used for a shield rather then attempting a 1 off 20 sec to do a grand total of regular dps damage which amounts to next to nothing looking at the enemies life bar if its not a add . Theres a percent sighn there ppl if its 100% of 25 thats just a extra 25 not some crazy high number fighting fates and regular world knock urself out thats a hudge difference but dungons are a different story.Dont think it will be the same it wont.

At yet another simple thing but wait overpower spamming put tp management in the crapper and flash from a non pld ull get 4 at best then have to wait on mp and in that time u just wasted ur mp and tp ur still waiting on the skill to cooldown oh wait the second u stopped spamming those the healer and blm are dead ooops lost the aggro there but steel cyclone no wrath . Craaaappp.
