Cuchulainn is fine. people just need to pay attention and not stand in the corrosive bile and stay off the platforms when theres no Bile below being cast. This is pretty much all the healers need to do beside heal. (focus target is your friend)
DPS need to kill the idols, slimes and watch their hp before popping orange clouds.
tanks need to drag the slimes out of the frontal aoe's.
When these conditions are met its not a hard fight at all. And people who cant follow these simple tactics need to stay out of Void Ark.
If you truly are having that bad runs all the time, while majority in this thread, me included, doesn't seem to face such issue, maybe you should consider switching server/data center. :o
Totally agree this doesn't need to be nerfed, but rather everything else could use a buff.
With that said, I think a lot of the issues come from old players who have run this numerous times meshing with people who are doing it for their very first (or even second or third time). For many not only is it their first time running Void Ark, but also their first time running a 24 man raid. (E.g. I joined after HW, so I still haven't unlocked any of the ARR raid content, Void Ark was my first 24 man raid). For someone running it their first time, it's kinda just what'sthisalliancething? faceroll, faceroll, ohcrapwhat'sthisvomit ohnoesi'mdead?, faceroll, faceroll. Add to that, usually no time is given to explaining mechanics, which someone new to the run might not realize are complicated enough to look into or ask about before hand - especially given how easy everything is up until Cthulhu. So it seems very fast, very sudden, and very much an outlier compared to the rest of void ark.
100% disagree with the OP. Please keep it as it is. Nerfing it will just promote more of the same. Pushing people to higher levels of play isn't a bad thing and this isn't a hard fight at all.
My first time with tentacle-San, I hadn't looked up into tactics since I had just come out from hiatus. I saw the room "mm, raised platforms. Pretty sure there will be some flood aoe"
The biggest problem with this boss, is you've spent the previous 20 minutes jumping around doing jack all, because that is all that is necessary to successfully beat the first 2/3 of the raid. Once you hit this boss, you need to pay some sort of attention.
I've caught my self embarrassingly dying to the puke etc., because my mind is just no longer on the raid after that facerolled first part.
To which, I think this boss doesn't need a nerf, but the rest of the raid needs to be made more difficult, so that ones mind has not wandered away.
Even more embarrassing is when you dodge it perfectly, until he hits 15% and think "We got this!!" then immediately get killed by his puke AoE because you got sloppy at the end. Guilty of that myself regularly. Even Echidna's Petrify mechanic isn't much of an issue with the size of her arena. If her arena was half that size petrify would be as dangerous as Cuchulain's AoE. It's mostly the arena's small size compared to the huge areas the other 3 boss battles are in that causes the attention requirement as you get a lot less room to evade.
Also, fun fact, all 4 bosses in Void Arc are roughly the same size but Cuchulain's arena being so small when compared to the others gives him the illusion of being more massive.
Never had much problem with said boss, I might have wiped on it once so either I am really lucky with my pugs or the fight is just easy, like all the 24man content in this game is.
I don't feel this 24 man raid needs to be nerfed in fact I would like to see its difficulty increased. We are always going to encounter players unable to clear content for one reason or another. I would say this to the OP you should stick through the tough fights and let these moments fill you with pride knowing that you stuck through the fight and completed it, taking out a mechanic or nerfing the raid dmg won't make ppl any better than they already are.
