November? really?

Well I have no real reason to play until then. They did great job with Heavensward but they completely missed the endgame content. Capping esos is nothing hard and I usually cap them after 4 days. 3.1 will be a bit too late this time and I doubt it's gonna be that different from the previous patches.

Looks like I'll be back in November, maybe. 15 days of sub time left :p

this is bullshit. LONGEST PATCH DELAY EVER! this game NEEDS content NOW not in 2 months. i am out when sub ends. this is too much. also free i210 gear from airship causal content LOL way to make new 24 man useless in an instant. will also be probaly BETTER then savage gear considering it has most garbage sec stats. and look at that last sentence : IF YOURE LUCKY POWERFUL EQUIPMENT can be obtained this way. RNG OVERKILL IS BACK for sure. they cannot let it go -.- also now we know for sure how relic will work.

this is to much -.- they really think 3.0 contained enough content for a EXPANSION to justfy a patch delay of ANOTHER 5 months? 2.5 was 5 months before hw and now another 5 month wait? pretty sure thatll be the new standart and we wont get 3.2 until april 2016 then. because if people continue to pay for this and they will they see they can get trough with even less work. JUST LIKE LOTRO did... SAME MISTAKE.... why do devs not learn?

I couldn't agree more. SE has a huuuuge army of white knights defending them but I honestly don't understand. Maybe they run their company like a high school? Summer's off? Who knows. My company would lose clients instantly if I told them I needed a one month vacation for the entire staff lol

I really do wonder what are the japanese-side playerbase are thinking, since their work ethics are more strict than us, when Yoshida stated vacation as the excuse for the delay.

Are they raging harder than us?

Having rare items isn't the end of the world, you'll be ok I promise :P

They are also bringing void ark with lots of free loots for those that are worried about whatever effort/reward ratios they have cooked up in their heads.

As for the devs and their time off, sure they earned some rest but when your an adult you work 40+ hours a week, 54 weeks a year. Sometimes you have to put in 60 to 80 hours a week to get things done. I know if my company told the customer "Sorry but we need to delay the product a month because our people need time off" we would get laughed at and told to either hire more people to stay on schedule or pay stiff fines as per contract.

I honestly think this would be the best way to do it. Back when I played Runescape they released a content patch every week, sure they weren't always mind blowingly large, but they provided a lot for example and they continued to work on large updates in the background. Grandmaster quests (long and very fun quests, well in my opinion) which are comparable to MSQ but I found them for enjoyable since they actually had you doing things rather than tele here and tele back one week, a raid the other, some filler content another (similar to relics I guess), etc. I honestly can't recall a moment where I felt the game was lacking in content, I always had something I wanted to do when I logged in. Be it work on my Fire Cape, go do some of the 200+ quests (quests in RS where entirely different than almost any other MMO), level up the Prayer skill as that will aid my combat abilities (unlike leveling other classes in this game) and so much more.

I'm honestly not sure why most MMOs haven't switched to this way of doing things as it clearly keeps people entertained. It also allows them to toy with ideas they normally wouldn't, Pest Control, Barbarian Assault, the Barrows, Castle Wars, Soul Wars are all fun things you could do that wasn't the generic MMO thing.

I am pretty sure they have been working 12+ hour days since before ARR with very little to no vacations, so I have NO problems letting them rest up a bit, and come back more refreshed and energized.

I work 8 hour days personally, and I even am exhausted after just that and take naps. I cannot imagine how I would feel like probably working 7 days a week, even during holidays hehe. I would die xD
Better with a 1 month delay, than a bugridden experience as well.

And if people complain about 1 month delay without content, go play WoW and WOD (king of MMORPG), where you get Selfies, Twitter and nothing more for a whole year ;)

There's always something to do... hmm why not go outside and just bounce a rubber ball for a while? You could always do that! Ball and cup also provides hours of enjoyment. By definition you could ALWAYS find something to do in any game. Something worthwhile is a better way of looking at things. yes I could finish lvling more jobs to 60 via the same content that has been beaten to death worse than Guantanamo Bay detainees. I could always go grind out my 6th relic weapon.. or sit in my inn room playing minigames not on par with but not dissimilar to facebook games in terms of what they actually do for my amusement. There comes a point where "something to do" is literally just pointless busy work.
