The math is pretty simple if you don't factor in DoTs. Just figure out how the procs can go, figure out average DPS casting fire immediately after blizzard 4 and average DPS if you wait before casting it, find out the odds and go.

It's when you throw in DoTs and thunderclap procs that the math gets "fun". Otherwise you can basically use the old potency formula (since we're hoping the ratios stay about the same) and go Potency(WD,Int,Det)*(1+CritBonus(Crit)*CritRate(Crit))/GCD(Spellspeed) as a short term fix-me-up. Won't approximate DPS or give you actual stat weights in terms of DPS, but it'd give you weights relative to each other which would be enough for comparing gear.

Here's something I threw together. You might need to download it and use Excel.

Ratios aren't the same. Check SimFF thread and Kenjis latest post for a roughly working BLM model.

So I've just installed the MP Tick ACT plugin, such a cool idea, I'm wondering,

Aren't the 2 colored buttons used to change the bar's color? If so, why aren't they working? If not, what are they actually for?

Just saying, be careful about what you post on OF, you are getting information you shouldn't get with this plugin (server mp ticks) I don't think they care about parses but I'm not sure how SE would react if a player get information about mana ticks ;3

We don't know what will happen to u if SE finds out their MP tick formula leaked out ;)

Personally I still like this rotation:
QS before pull > precast B3 > Ley Lines > T1 > Sharp > F3 > Enochian+RS > F1 > Pot > F4 x3 > F3(proc) > Convert > F4 x3 > B3 > B4
Extra Thunder DoT on the opener and no waiting for a mana tick, if you get a long mana tick, you can squeeze in T1 after B4 too.

You all should know ticks are every 3 seconds.

You can manually track mp ticks if you sprint and stalk your TP ticks.

So.... I did A4 with Voiced Foe, RS, Pot, TA, Extended Empowered Balance, Selene opener and I bursted for 4.2k-4.3k DPS single target lol. The true hero is the Ninja that gave me Smokescreen. I did 2 F4 Crit for almost 12k each.

:< I do believe if you have an AST that Balance is best invested on a BLM since we have the highest burst opener.
