The only problem with that is that the "red flashes" went to whoever /emoted at the bombard first after it stopped. Since you had a dozen or so people spamming emotes at it the first day, it'd be impossible for some people to actually get their required interaction.

IMO the best way to do it is to make it an actual quest and let you bring a party to complete it.

No... but I killed rats and got a moonlet and some nuts... Is that it?

Also I think it's a great lore related event. Not everything has to be a huge undertaking to keep me entertained. But, haters gonna hate anyway.

Respawn rate is pretty awful as well. Was doing fine alone at the mythril pits, but then an archer comes and downtime is pretty long.
