its def. going to be an interesting ride the bird mounts in WoW always reminded me of chocos =)

Seriously, it doesn't make sense that you can ride a Chocobo and come face to face with some high level aggressive mob or NM and it DOES NOT knock you flat on your butt. Remember Empire Strikes back with Luke and his Tonton? Abominable snowman got him good, lesson learned.

Thank you Bayohne for your response! My main concern was the "Chocobo growth system", and just knowing they are working on it is good. Just to make sure, is this truly raising a chocobo from an egg/chick or is it raising as in developing a full grown chocobo via rank & experience like a normal player character. Clarification would be greatly appreciated.

On the other points, everything is VERY good news! I'm just glad MY chocobo doesn't abandon me in the field.

Hmm..... If we can get attacked while on a chocobo, does that mean we can retaliate, or pre-empt an attack from a chocobo?

You guys know what would be really good? If instead of popping a Chocobo in front of you, it would come from the back with a whistle from the character. It's a little thing that can really be liked from other players!

so you mean instead of the choco materializing in front of you have it come running toward you from a distance? that sounds like a good added personality and realism that one would come to expect from SE

Yes, having the chocobo spawn behind you and run up to you, kneeling to let you on, would be the perfect bit of realism. Definitely don't want it spawning infront of me like the Retainer System does.
