GET OUT, YOU'RE IN DALLAS?!?!?! msg me ingame <3

Also, I agree that the main motivation for most ppl to attend Fanfest was to geek out with fellow Eorzeans, and to possibly meet the dev team or even see them irl. The announcement stuff was kind of an afterthought for me honestly lol

Please give us Lyrics for us to sing along with Primal next time.
like Leviathan~~ (Send US!) <-- good crowd participation part
Leviathan~~(breathless!)

instead of watching pld ate landslides and fall down of the cliff...

I was part of the staff at the speed run event. First, I'd like to thank everyone for being as patient as they could be with the line situation.

Things that could be handled better (with speedruns): Waiting for the entire game area to be done playing before getting new people in. Some teams could complete the dungeon in 10 minutes, other teams 30 minutes. It makes no sense to have the massive line wait around for everyone to finish especially when it only takes one staff member/retainer per row to handle stands and reset the computers. Also, having the line set up so that it was easily identifiable where the entrances and exits were. On day one lots of groups that wanted to be in the speed run line were in the ex-primal line. Next, I'm not sure why we did Lost City of Amdapor on Saturday and not Brayflox HM again, there's a big timing difference there.

Finally, I'm not sure why only four classes were allowed. Each computer had gear for each class or could have been given the gear. I know at the start of Sunday we were told to delete all the weapons that weren't a part of what the premade set up was.

I had a great time despite this and it seemed like everyone else was too despite the long lines. I was the guy in the red on the single line of speed run computers at the beginning of the second day, it was nice talking to everyone waiting in the long line!

MCing was awesome, seating was good.

I think different coloured tags to signify what server you are from would be nice for meeting people without having to nametag creep so hard. Also, it might not seem fair but having separate lines per class for the "duties" would help. A big part of line clogs were retainers and crew trying to form groups on the fly yelling out for certain classes, allowing lots of line cutting. Not a big deal bit worth mentioning.

It would be fun if there were a set of dev issues saved for fan fest that the crowd votes on with cheering or booing. It seemed like the devs got a lot out of that and hopefully we will get our ADS mounts soon.

One last thing, same coloured raffle tickets, even though that was some of the funniest shit I have ever seen.

Good job all, won't miss the next one for the world.

Thanks

Different color name tags is a good idea however given the large number of servers perhaps color per data center is better.

My main complaint was not every gaming area had a controller. My party was a group of 5 and we somehow managed to get seated at all controller devices during Odin, but trying out frontlines was a nightmare. We were originally sat together, then people had to shuffle around because no controllers, then our party didn't get queued properly, and we all had to duty find separately. So we were all split up into different parties in the end anyway. =( The lines were pretty long and it would have been nice if there was more walking room between rows during the online events. The only other annoying thing was while waiting for the reception, people kept budging in front of other people. It's different in my opinion if a friend is holding a spot for you, but I literally saw several different groups of people just sneaking in and even when full on calling them out they just refused to look or acknowledge us. So rude.

Don't make it so expensive! I couldn't justify the price for the London Fan Fest so chose not to in the end. Don't misunderstand me, I am a big fan and I really really wanted to go but it's just too much!

As someone who has managed events I appreciate there are overheads to holding them, but even so, I can't see how you can justify £65 ticket price for a one day event. In dollars £65 = $105 which is just $15 short of the cost for the 3 day event in Vegas!

I think a big improvement that needs to be made for Fanfest 2015 is that the community team continues to post about in game things like us getting our retainers to wander our private housing or something instead of the dev tracker being 100% "Don't worry, we'll still have T Shirts" throughout the two week US-EU fanfest timeframe.

Also more shirt sizes appropriate for the region. I would have loved one of the meteor polos but the sizes available even at the start of the convention were just too small. I'm 6'5'' and not overweight but I still need to wear a 2XL or even better an XLT (I can understand not having T sizes).

I was going to suggest visiting the SE online shop. However, there is only one shirt available. So that is a bust.
