Interesting, when I read the note earlier today I thought it may have meant that fighting and killing certain mobs placed through the dungeon could unlock chest (I knew they weren't time based since we've gotten Canopus Bill chest W/ 30 seconds remaining). I actually assume that chest is spawned by opening that circle at the start of Area 1 that opens to the circular dead end room. When we skipped activating it, the chest did not spawn.
Thank you for confirming my suspicions, looking forward to watching your video and trying to see what mobs you pull that you would normally skip that would be the keys. I always had a hunch the room to the left after you exit the Ogre staging ground was meant for something... I assume its where 1 of the chest key mobs is perhaps if there is no secret boss.
Also in regards to 280 people have cleared it... thats a lie!!! We cleared it with 7 a few times... was mostly D/Cs but one time we only had 7 on and we cleared the entire dungeon with someone dual boxing a mule... so its only 279 "people" maybe less if other people had that too lol (I think we have 15-17 characters with clear achievements in our LS)

5th Chest? My count must be off or something...
There's the first chest at the opening of the first dead end room. The second chest at the end of the north most tunnel before going down to the teleporter room. The third chest in the offshoot tunnel before the ogre. The fourth chest from the Ogre. I could have sworn there was a fifth chest in the Captain's Quarters, we got the Alpine jacket there I believe. The sixth chest in the Drake room. Does Batraal drop one? -

Actually we believe
7th, 8th 9th, 10th and 11th from Batraal. We just need a few more runs tonight to prove it. Lastly the easy mode comments are actually pretty amusing. 35 groups have beat it so far across the world. The truth is it has nothing to do with the set up but more about the players and time they have put in to aquire the jobs and skills to play high content to there fullest abilities.
You can look through our group and if you pay attention everyone in our group has a melee, mage and archer at level 50. We all have multiple high level off class skills we use per run and can interchange for each other at the drop of a macro.
The true easy mode is competence and preperation. If it bugs you that we all have multiple 50s to change to and we use archer so we dont needlessly take dmg well duh. Why would anyone run in and take dmg for no reason?? I have a pug and lnc at 50 but why would I choose to use them and make our healers work more. LOL those of you that keep using the phrase need to change easy mode = smart mode haha. -
