I don't normally post on the forums, but I haven't really seen anything about what happens AFTER the soul crushing Atma grind.
I was very very lucky with my Atma drops and I am now a relieved (note: not proud or accomplished) owner of a Stardust Rod Atma. I began the first book to add Intelligence +2, The Book of Skyfire I, and it felt SO much better to have reachable goals with clear endpoints. Then I got to the FATE section. If you thought the FATE terribleness ended with Atmas, you're wrong.
The three FATEs needed are the following: Make It Rain, Giant Seps, and The Enmity of My Enemy. I waited for 2 hours for Make It Rain to spawn. I am now at 2.5 hours and counting while waiting for Giant Seps. I still feel this is better than Atmas because you know once you complete the FATE, it's done. However, these come with the pleasure of literally just sitting there and waiting. I am starting to see why the auto logout feature was removed...
Between Atmas, the FATE portions of the Books, Books costing 1500 Myth each while Myth accrual rates are ridiculously low now, i100+ weapons and i110+ armor all relying on complete RNG (and sometimes lockouts too!) across the board, and low Soldiery accrual rates, it has become evident that 2.2 is the patch of the mega-huge-massive grindfest brought to you by RNG.
Taking all of this as an indication of the future direction of this game, I am no longer confident in investing my free time and my money into playing it. They have lost a tremendous amount of trust and good will from me with 2.2.

Start writing to video game press. The negative press will probably make things change very quickly.

ughh....I'd rather do 1,000 FATEs than spamming FATEs and getting Atma based on RNG
Because with 1,000 FATEs, i KNOW FOR SURE i am making progression!
What I feel bad is the people who don't have much time to play (work, kids, school etc..). When will they get their atma with this horrendous drop rate.....?
