Actually I don't use macros at the moment I just have what you might call a simple play style I only use 2 hotbars and use R1 to go through them I am assuming because of my play style I havent really experienced this bug as severely as others have.

this is probably the case. i play a sch and use 2 hotbars + expanded hotbars on both sides. one hot bar has all of my heals and def buff/cd's the other had pet commands. since i am freak about micromanaging my fairy i switch between bars often. and as a healer every fraction of a second counts. ive become so used to my keys just working as inteded and fluidly switching between hotbars that its has caused me serious problems. such as aetherflow not initiating, my hot bars not switching back to heals fast enough and just over all clunkyness.
this has caused me wipe my group several times. i eventually just gave up. this problem couldnt be getting fixed any sooner
Hopefully the emergency maintenance going on now is to fix this!
Lol its the beta phase, the whole point of beta is to identify issues and address them before the actual product release. And since its a new system and new controller, there's a good chance the input processes aren't identical, so this issue might not even carry over.
its because of the new R1+leftstick ground target system you have to hold r1 to switch bars like a second longer.
I didn't read through every single post here, so forgive me if someone else mentioned this, but this 'bug' affects more than just my cross hotbars. I have experienced the same game breaking lag that most of you have. I FLY through my hotbars. Since early access I even trained myself as a level 1 archer to be able to effortlessly switch between hotbars by putting Sprint (when I had no mount) on hotbar 2 and return/teleport on hotbar 3. This worked very well for me, because now at a moment's notice without even thinking I can switch between hotbars on the fly. Even a millisecond of lag I would have been able to detect, like most said this is terrible for me.
But as we see, a fix is being implemented.
What troubles me is I have seen nothing said about the targeting of mobs. I have been heavily affected in this way as well. I always use Right and Left on my D-pad to cycle through mobs. It's very easy because there aren't many things I need to do with my left thumb. I am suffering from large amounts of lag from this as well. The cycle action now lags about to the same degree of the hotbar lag, AND on top of that I have to now spam the X button to get my new target to accept. I used to be able to Hit Right on the D pad to get to the mob I wanted to target and hit X to begin targeting it instantaneously. We will say .5 seconds to give it a number. Now it takes about 3-5 seconds for those simple actions to be performed.
This is not acceptable for end game dungeons, even on a low rotation such as a BRD. I have 2 full hotbars of skills that I need to be able to use on the fly, and my 100% DPS Uptime is being affected by the targeting issue.
Is anyone else being affected by the targeting issue? Again, if I missed someone's comments or replies in this regard I apologize. Just fixing the hotbar will not be enough for me, and so far all I have read about is the hotbar lag.
ive experienced this too but i attributed it to the same problem, as i believe the bug itself was stemming from holding the triggers and using the direction pad hotkeys, i did a little bit of screwing around last night and noticed that it was only when i had just released the hotbar after using a key tied to the direction pad that i got lag in switching hot bars or targets.
i play a healer so being able to change targets on the fly multiple times in one fight is pretty much the core of my job description, this bug was greatly affecting my performance
Well the bug has been fixed with the emergency maintenance earlier.
