FC house prices is a step in the right direction for this game! Less casual friendly.

Right direction is adding more content, not making non-essential content a retarded timesink.

I agree that maybe it is a ploy to get all rich people in the game to let go of their money. It would help revive the market boards.

So would everyone be happy if houses were cheap enough for every FC to buy on Tuesday?
Who determines what is too grindy?
To me collecting gil with my fellow FC members is something we can do together for couple of months - obviously it is not the only thing we do.
I like that it is something we can thrive towards with the knowledge that we will eventually get there, and when we do it is something to be proud of... not just another thing that will be swept under the carpet when new content comes out.

There is that already even if they were cheaper. This is the land we're talking about. Then there's still the house, the furnishing, etc. Sorry but it's too much of a grind. Also farming gil for several months? What about when personal housing comes out? What about those of us that can't spend that much time? Doing the math my FC is looking at several years of grinding given how often we play and what content we play. That's ridiculous.

The houses themselves will be cheap (compared to the land), the furnishing will be buyable for the most, using seals, or crafted at little actual cost.

It's not too much of a grind. It's just that you actually think 100,000 gil is a lot. When that's really very little. Your sense of scale is off because you never tried to actually make money.

The part I highlighted is pretty much the point of all the "QQing" going on. While I'm excited for the patch as a whole, I completely understand why this is an issue for a lot of people.

if ppl rly consider this a problem then I don't see why they just don't combine their fc with another so that way can make the money quicker if they rly wanna be getting it within the 1st month(which is ridiculously stupid) hell thats what ppl in gilgamesh have been doing since yesterday. Also another good thing from combining fc's is that it'll be more active and who wouldn't want that?

I agree with the OP. Does it suck that my FC won't have a house to decorate for the holidays. Damn straight we busted our asses off to get the 1.5mil we managed to save thinking it would be enough for the 10 of to enjoy. We leveled crafts to build stuff (I am still working on weaving) but this is in no way a sky is falling situation. It just means when we can finally afford one its because we worked hard, saved and deserve our lil house and will mean more because it wasn't handed to us.
