Main Scenario Restriction Bloodstorm - Very Very Bad idea.

Play some other game while waiting for new content to be added to this game, of course. Combined, naturally, with not rushing through content.
(I will never understand how some people can run through all the content added in a normal-sized update in just a few days.)

The problem with the complaints about going to all these random areas to advance the pre-50 MSQ is, that's the point of the MSQ. It's a tour of every area of Eorzea. If you remove all the pre-Titan stuff, you'll never go to Camp Tranquil or Forgotten Springs. If you never get two crystals you don't need to fight Garuda, you'll never go to the Burning Wall or the Isle of Umbra. Meaning that if they did remove all the extraneous fetch quests, they'd have to replace them with non-extraneous actual quests that still take you to the same place anyway.

You know what I was totally agaisnt a jump potion but honestly the way the last two msq 50 dungeons are set up why not, those two dungeons where the worse in game experience I've had thus far. And I'm sure some of the same people that is saying no jump potion have left people behind that where trying to watch the cut scenes in these dungeons. If someone has to watch their cut scenes of the last leg of the 50 journey in an inn room then what was the point in doing it in the first place. Now I am on the fence about the potion because of how literally nobody cares if people get their chance to enjoy the story , just because others have already done it. So if you are agaisnt jump potion then let people watch their cuts scenes and don't complain about it cause other wise everything is just a fetch quest , if you are forced to skip thing as a new player.

Although I hate that no one can actually experience the last two dungeons as intended, the blame really rests on Square Enix for that. Fortunately they have changed their methods and there are no other dungeons with 15+ minutes of cutscenes in them. But with that said, the only important cutscenes you are pressured to skip in the entire game are in Praetorium, and that one (significant!) flaw hardly means you may as well skip every other cutscene in the game.

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to removing the mostly pointless cutscenes from Castrum Meridianum and turning everything before Nero in the Praetorium into a solo instance, then having a trial for all the boss fights or something. But I doubt they're going to put that much work into old content.

The only parts they should be to to skip is the raids if they want to. I remember doing them and having to wait over and hour for QUE. The story, and the quests should be mandatory.

Yea I made a separate post on it myself, like that really bothered me and Im saying it out of frustration, it should be a solo instance but it wont be. So i guess im calling all of the pro msq people out and saying if you gona say msq is a must then never force a new player that wants to watch cut scenes into doing a speed run. Every one should act on what they say is mandatory, because if I didn't like this game so much the way it is now with those two dungeons almost made me want to quit its just not right that all of those 130 fetch quest end in , a you tube video viewing or attempting to use the journal that is pure trash and doesnt work

Even if every pro-MSQ person was willing to wait through those cutscenes, there are enough people who just queue for the exp or tomes to override them. And the simple fact is, the rewards for Main Story Roulette are not worth the duration of a full run with cutscenes. I say this as a big proponent of the story. But to be honest, I would probably never queue for Main Scenario Roulette if I knew we were going to be watching cutscenes. (though they could raise the rewards to some point where it was worth it, in theory)

In short, the system does not incentivize letting people go through the dungeons at their own pace. You're not going to fix people, you need to fix the system. I mean, there are plenty of dungeons people will immediately leave just because they typically take 25 minutes instead of 20. People are jerks, basically.

Like u mention its a se problem and this is a really big deal , like what other game makes there ending of an expansion only available to watch in a special book its insane. It might as well not even exist I feel sorry for any new person that gets to these dungeons and realizes that nobody gives a crap if after all ur work in getting through those tedious quest was for nothing. I for one if I que for either of those dungeons will leave on the spot simply because I'm not gona do what happened to me cause its total garbage and I can not believe this isnt an issue for people regardless of if its old are new content. It needs to be changed and I know they wont but shame on them for that. Nobody cares about the middle its the end that matters its like watching a football game u could be up 40 to 0 and if u let the other team come back ur effort means nothing. That is how they have the msq set up right now making the 1 to 50 journey worthless.

The Aery and The Vault are probably the only two levelling dungeons I can think of that would actually require story progression. Other dungeons could probably have a change in dialogue in the MSQ if you've done them before ("You've already taken care of Tioman? Making our way to the Churning Mists will be much easier now" for example).

MMM what I think they should at least do is, reduce the required exp for leveling up in ARR and HW to a magnitude that solely doing main scenario quest and a few side quest would be enough.

Doing so would make us fly through the scenario MUCH faster. Because, one of the most tedious part of leveling is actually to get enough level to jump on the next scenario quest.
If every quest would give almost enough exp to bump on the next part. Then new player wouldn't spend so much time on the main story.

Also, leaving a hell lot of side quest could encorage new player to test new jobs.

Finally, I however hope they'll remove the requirement for a second class to unlock a job.
I guess this is probably gonna happen with the rework of the battle system
