I am sorry that I had to drop out.

I had some confusing travel stuff pop up at the last minute.

The worst part was I had round 1 and 2 done and ready to go. I just couldn't send them in my blind fleeing to the airport panic.

Oh my mistake then, Nozomi! In that case, then, casting a fire spell or something might have a similar effect for colour contrast!

For anyone confused how scoring works...

Fan #1's list = Micheal, Tom, Sara, Maria, and John.
Micheal is first, so he gets 1 point. Tom is second so he gets 2 points. Sara is third so she gets 3 points. Maria is fourth so she gets 4 points. John is fifth so he gets 5 points.

Fan #2's list = Micheal, Sara, Maria, Tom, and John.
Micheal is first, so he gets 1 point. Sara is second so she gets 2 points. Maria is third so she gets 3 points. Tom is fourth so he gets 4 points. John is fifth so he gets 5 points. 4

Now we add those together.
Micheal 1+1 = 2
Sara 3+2 = 5
Tom 2+4 = 6
Maria 4+3 = 7
John 5+5 = 10

Ta-duh! Micheal wins and John is eliminated.

Alright guys, it's almost time to celebrate the premier of ENTM Youtube Edition 2 and say goodbye to Rongi Pongi!

On May 25th, 7pm to 10pm USA Central we will be hanging out on the Coeurl Server in Limsa Lominsa!

We will chat, take screen shots, maybe play hide and seek, watch the premier of Episode 0 - Meet the Models, and hold another Rongi Raffle for a 1 month subscription to FFXIV. Adeline will give the second place winner a custom drawing of their character! :D Any other artists want to make some sort of contribution, let me know!

This will be Rongi Pongi's last appearance in the world of FFXIV, so I hope all of you can make it to say good-bye! It would make me the happiest lalafel in the world to spend it with all of you. :cool:

Everything was fine.

I just needed to fly out 3 days sooner than I thought. So I didn't get to much if any preplanning/packing like I do for a normal trip.

And I am on the road for 2 weeks..

Please note that Rongi is assuming I'm doing scoring the exact same way as in the YT cycle, which I'm not :p It'll be similar, but reversed. So model #1 will get 8 points, model #8 will get 1 point. The judge scores will be multiplied by a factor based upon the number of votes to ensure that the judge scores count for as close to 75% of the total score as I can get.

The main reason is people like big numbers :D It can be confusing for the highest scorer to be in last place - unless we're playing golf, I guess.

Congratulations to both Epsil and Tinsley! Those numbers were really close!

I want to take a moment to explain how those numbers were generated:

The total amount of votes I tallied was 1482 - that's summing up all of the scoring with 1st place getting 12 points, 2nd place getting 11 and so on. In order to reach the desired 25/75 public/vote split, I multiplied all the judge scores by a factor of 14. This resulted in a total of 4368 points from judges - which was 74.6% of the total 5850 points. Bumping up the numbers for judges, combined with how many models we have is why those numbers are so high. As we lose models the total number of points will drop, so don't expect to see numbers that high after the next round!

Woo hoo! Congratulations for the first round winners. And thanks for all the feedback everyone! I'm excited about the upcoming rounds and can't wait to see what everyone else will do.

ROUND 2 IS UP!

Flashbacks! Flashbacks!!! All I can think of now is our cosplay from cycle 3 with 2 people doing cosplays from Xena universe and now we have 2 cosplays from the Sailor Moon universe!!! It's always so interesting when this sort of thing happens! ... Oh! My mistake! There are 4 this time! Two from the Sailor moon universe, and two from the XIV universe! So intriguing!

Sort of, but it'd need the butterfly and there were a few other details I couldn't get right. Hair wasn't right either (the new ponytail coming out with 3.0 will fix that.) I'm happy I switched!

This alt shot was ALMOST my submission, but I didn't like the lighting on me so much (tho the weather was SO MUCH BETTER), and also, the expression in the actually submitted shot was way better. What do you guys think? :)

Kat, I think that Yoruichi is pretty nice actually. 100 percent right on isn't possible but you have the colors, the style and the feel. That's one of the big things about cosplay...

I love love love this theme for the round and spend many hours trying to get a good shot and then sorting through the hundreds I took. I do agree about the 3/4 view thing, Doki, but the front of the darn coat (which was the closest match for cosplay purposes) really destroyed the look. Other angles showed the hair better as well but the front of the style was also inaccurate. :P Which was really a shame since with some slight changes at the aesthetitian my character is a dead ringer for Genesis. XD

I had been at that location for a couple of hours and was just sorting through some of the thunderstorm pics from there while waiting for the daylight and a weather change when suddenly I looked over to find this beautiful sunrise! The hazy golden light was falling on his coat so beautifully... I immediately started taking tons of shots and then when the light got too off I started digging through to find just the right one. I was really happy with the background and lighting in the pic I submitted since it really just seemed to fit Genesis' story and character.

I was really busy the last few days and just got to check out the judging for round 1 again. It seems not many people are fond of the skimpy style I force on my character... XD But yeah, none of you know me so I should have taken that into account when deciding. If any of you visit me on Sarg remind me to show you my sexy policeman outfit. *eyebrow wiggle*

It's really funny that you mention that, Drarorm. My original idea was to take the shot in Ul'Dah, for that exact same reason. However, what happened was that the main constructive criticism I received last round was that I needed more CONTRAST in my shots (that, and that I need to be the star of the shot, but oh well). I did some shots in Ul'Dah then, and... well, I'm just gonna show you a bonus alt shot cuz you were so kind in to me in your voting :) And because like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...
