How does it not? How are we, people without alpha access and thus no access to the alpha forums, be able to gain knowledge of that particular quote by Yoshida? We go by the NDA, which states what we can dicuss, black and white. We of those who still linger on these forums have no knowledge at all of what is stated on alpha forums BECAUSE WE ARE NOT THERE.
And if it is permitted, why has no official word been stated on these official forums? I do not deny or accept your people's claims, BECAUSE I HAVE YET TO SEE IT. Perhaps the inclination was that you could only tell other alpha testers who you were, and not non-alpha testers, because only alpha testers could have seen that quote. No members of the public, no legacy members without alpha invites, no people who have quitted a month after game started without alpha invites could have possibly seen that line. It is only purely the alpha testers who have seen that quote.
Think about it. If something is only shared amongst a certain group of individuals, perhaps maybe that should only be kept WITHIN that certain group of individuals? Even if those individuals who spread it outside that circle blame the person who distributed that subject of matter for 'telling us in the first place!', a little bit of thinking would know that maybe it should be only be kept as a secret between the alpha tester cohort.
If I was to use a bad analogy, it's like examiners discussing a 1st year's exams questions with a 3rd year cohort. The 3rd year cohort by rights should then not spread those questions to the 1st years.
But alas, it is the internet. No matter of laws or such will ever prevent this stuff from happening.
I don't even know why I bother sometimes. [/rant]
