Hoi Everyone,
This porberly allot to ask but the idear is that house can be upgraded from small to large when you start small for a house it can still be large over time. when you have the money for it. Right now the most small housing are still for sale in many servers because many ppl think it is to small. I know the ground is to small for bigger housing. Hopefully they can revamp that too a larger field and that way all the houses will be bought aswell even the small ones because you can upgrade the houses to a large house.
I know it will be allot of work for the devs but i think still that is great idear for the ppl that don't want a small house and the places wont be so empty anymore.
Kind regards,
Paito Maito
Something that lets me create a large round room. I want to do a ballroom in the basement of one of my large plots but the item requirements and glitching required is insane.
Is it really not possible to have a blank partition door? It sucks not being able to change the wall papers of partition doors. can't customize them to match the wallpapers of my home at all!
Upgrade the existing (or give us new, crafting stations) and how about adding a "stone and pick" "fishing pond" and "Log cutting" outdoor furnishing that give bonuses to those jobs?
For apartments to feature balconies & either an upper or lower floor for an added gil cost.
Also a 50 item cap increase or more.
A three tier apartment system with "1 room" "2 room" and "Penthouse" apartment system with faux balconies so you can use outdoor furnishings has been needed to "solve" the housing crisis in the game for years, I simply do not understand why they havent attempted to create this. It wouldnt be perfect, but it would allow everyone to at least play with housing.
How about a pool we can actually swim/float in? I know it would be difficult to create this as an item that goes into the ground and not an above ground pool, but maybe attached to a new "beach house" themed housing skin? Maybe complete with a diving board on the roof you can jump off of into the pool too?
Agreed... I was completely disappointed when i realized that the Hot Spring house skin's spring was only knee high and i couldnt /float in it. Either give me a deep pool or make some of these furnishing work like beds and you can /float just like you /doze on a bed. Hell, give us a "pool" with a floating lounge in it and let us /doze on that.
I'm sure 1 or 2 of these things has been requested, but I'm gonna add to the choir so to speak just incase:
1. For the love of God, please add door partitions that can have a wallpaper applied to them. Please. PLEASE. All it needs to do is cut the door frame out of the texture, or at least let us dye the PARTITION part of the partition, not the door!!! It literally feels like a prank that you go to dye the thing from white to any other color and the DOOR of all things changes color.
2. Indoor Training Dummy
3. Moveable/Removable interior fixtures (remove or move chandeliers alltogether), or add/remove/move pillars. interior fixtures in general could be really improved on, like stairs and rails
4. door that leads to balcony exit in mansions given function
I'd like outdoor items that are Ishgard/ Coerthas themed. There aren't many snow-covered or frosted looking items for outdoor furnishings and the ones that do exist are quite large
We have no snow covered plants, no snow covered statues, no frozen or frosted trees (except the snow pine) - While there is an igloo & a snow bench (you can't dye the red brick, sorry!) The lack of Ishgard outdoor items is evident when you compare it to the amount of forest/ Gridania themed items.
-
There are also not very many outdoor Ul'Dah items- and with the release of Dt, hopefully we will see more DT items that can help bring out the beauty of The Goblets yards.
-Give us thinner partitions and partitions without the bottom & top borders, these partitions should also allow us to change the wallpaper. Also, thinner marble walls (they're very thick and make trying to create small corners or narrow entryways impossible)
-Make the mailbox, chocobo stall & aetheryte a house attachment that doesn't take up a yard item slot. I'm tired of having to choose between adding another tree which will make my yard prettier, or adding a mailbox for convenience.
-More farm/ chocobo & vegetable garden items
-small trees/ sprouting trees
-Different indoor layouts. I wish the indoor housing layouts matched the outdoor house themes. The country cottage house has a giant tree addition on the back, but it's really disheartening that it also doesn't change the interior to add the tree.
Also, make balconies accessible.
-give players better access to decorating and placement tools- X, Y, Z axis placement that allows us to sink, float, shift and precisely place items.
-Being able to remove the bottom floor and new interior house layouts (again) by giving small houses a top floor/accessible attic instead.
-Housing portfolio/ photo display that works similar to portraits- when players click on others, they can view their adventure plate then also choose to view the screens/photos the player took of their in-game property/ apartment. (if they choose to) WITHOUT revealing the placard information
A Z AXIS for everything and no locks on what can be floor only or whatever give every single object in the game the ability to float freely in the air and let us place everything anywhere.
It is backwards we still need to rely on glitches and only a fragment of things with those can be placed like you wand them to be placed without being sucked down to ground again
Can they not re-purpose the island. Maybe have an FC house that links/portals to an island where FC members can build houses on.
A few objects of interest that might be good for housing.
Hidden due to Dawntrail zone spoilers.
I need the Alexandrian mophead hydrangeas. The flowers are much plumper than the ones we have now
I just got the Country House Walls for our FC house and love all the little details and added personality/charm of these style of walls. It's been so much fun decorating since but I'm struggling with the inside. So I was thinking, it would be cool to have something like that for the inside as well. Like a wallpaper that takes up all the slots (same as the exterior walls) and changes the whole interior at once. They could make it change the layout a little with added walls or different styles of stairs and doors. There could be multi-level floors, added windows, maybe even built-in furniture like kitchen pieces or an entryway. I just think it would add a little more charm to the interior and would be really fun to decorate.
I want them to expand on the aquariums.
Currently we have 2 sets of environment for the fishes, Seawater and Freshwater, limiting available options when you look at the Fish Guide.
I'd like for Skyfish to be present, or Lavafish or Aetherfish. Could help set up general ambiance for a room too.
I would also like for them to expand Big Fish within aquariums, and one QoL that makes it so the fish isn't destroyed if I decide to take it out (you can remove the entire aquarium and the fish remains, but removing the fish itself destroys it).
The day the Ruby Dragon becomes available for aquariums is the day I'm hunting down that guy with a vengeance.
The Emperor's New Chandelier: The most beautiful chandelier you never have seen.

We need more Garlean furniture.
Some examples:
* Garlean Flag
* Bloodstained Garlean Flag
* Life-sized Combat Magitek Replicas
* Clone Vats
* Large Subject Experimentation Tubes
* Magitek Terminals
* Magitek Armor Replicas (or give us Magitek Glamour that we can put on a mannequin)
Honestly it's kinda weird that there wasn't more in Endwalker.
We could use narrow/thin shaped wall partitions.
All of the partitions we have are too wide and too long or have a slant on the other side. We need smaller ones that aren't as wide or long and without a slant.
More narrow wall partition; no slant or skylight on the otherside.
More doorway partitions
Stone arches
bay windows
stained glass ceilings
fireplace with an empty cauldron/ stone hearth with a cauldron/ cookpot
Anyone think it would be cool if you could set your house orchestrion BGM to automatically switch between two tracks at 6am/pm eorzea time? Or for that matter, what if things like indoor lighting levels could do the same?
Lighting conditions vary dramatically between day and night, and zone BGMs, among other things, often get paired day and night arrangements that complement each other well. I feel like there's a lot of potential there to dramatically improve housing ambience, compared to having a single looping track.
Since this is a really, really long thread, I'm not sure how many of these ideas have already been brought up but here goes:
1. Redesign housing districts so that there is a central common area and instanced private and FC plots. The reasoning behind this is that whenever the devs want to add more housing to meet player demand, they always have to add new wards to existing districts which apparently requires a great deal of resources. With this kind of setup, only the common area would have to be instanced to meet demand which I believe would conserve resources taken up by adding all the additional wards. Another benefit would be that a mechanism could be implemented allowing players to upgrade and renovate their spaces and potentially setting up a way for players to actually build custom-designed houses. It may also be possible to set things up so that players can take their houses with them when performing a world transfer since the plot would be an instanced space much like the Island Sanctuary. If all that weren't enough, it would also be possible to do away with lotteries and auto-demolition if this type of system were implemented.
2. Make private plots shared among all a player's characters on a world. This just seems like a no-brainer because if players are going to be restricted to a single plot per world, then it might as well be shared among all their alternate characters.
3. I know this one is likely a repeat of others' requests, but increasing the furnishing limit would be nice; at least 10 or so for the outside and another 100 for the inside would be very helpful. From what I understand, many players have unused spaces in their plots because they reach the limit quickly trying to make everything look just the way they want.
4. There's still an issue that only "Tabletop" furnishings can be placed on loft pieces and other platform-type furnishings; most likely the best way to fix this might be to add a "Stackable" trait to furnishings typically placed on the floor or reclassify loft pieces and platforms as "placeable floors".
That's all I got for right now.
I tried this suggestion before but didn't know how to word it at the time. I'd be so happy if we could pick and pot some wild plants that we come across. I love indoor green spaces but the choices are so limited. This way, we could just make use of assets that are already in the game.
For the gardens, I would love to have the type of plants that are generally found in the beds of the various residential areas. For the interior, for example, there are already the red flowers that grow in Mist in the residential areas. It would be great if these red flowers were also available for the gardens. I'd love the same with plants from the other residential areas, such as various cacti like those in Goblet or a flower bed with flowers from the lavender beds and Empyreum. I think they would look great in the players' gardens.

Glass Partition
White Screen Partition (same as white screen but with no curve)
Long Wood Slat Partition

With the announcement of interior renovation, my hope is that this will inspire new interior layouts… for both houses and apartments.
Current Apartment/Small - “Studio”
Same as we have now.
Medium Apartment - “Loft”
Mid-size, maybe a split level with an actual built-in loft and stairs going up to it.
Large Apartment - “Penthouse”
Multiple floors, “outdoor” instanced balcony for placing outdoor furnishings and garden plots.
For house interiors, the removal of pillars is great, but maybe we could also remove windows? Maybe different layouts with different staircases, or different placement of the stairs?
For smalls in particular, I would like the option to have an attic added:

Many housing skins already look like there should be another room up there, and no reason all sizes couldn’t have the option of 3 floors. I’d gladly pay gil for a “remodeling permit” to have this!
Or in general, the option to add additional rooms in personal homes just like FC houses can add rooms, for more decorating space. Along with a personal version of an FC chest.
The players asked for the demo timer, at one time it didn't exist. Imagine what the housing situation was where if anyone left for an indeterminable amount of time but got to keep their plot...A plot which is limit supply and finite. Swaths of houses that simply couldn't be accessed because players that left and had no intention of returning months/years ago, but also didn't want to demo the plot.
The demo timer makes sure the house is seeing a degree of use, while those not using it are removed and the plot goes back up for auction for those who may get more usage out of it.
The timer is a necessary evil, if people want their plots as bad as they say they will actively keep them in use, and if they don't. No player is going to feel bad some person who didnt enter their plot in 45 days that lost it due to not entering the house. It gives those who are willing utilize the house a chance to win the plot.
Players asked for a demo timer because they'd rather blame other players than Square Enix.

yes please!
I'll be the first to admit that I'm no expert, but I feel like that with the introduction of Island Sanctuary, and especially after they allowed us to place Exterior Furnishings - the excuse that instanced housing cannot be done just doesn't fly anymore. But if they don't do that then at minimum restrict housing to per account and not per character.
Please give us the option to use the old housing interiors without pillars.
This is what several of us thought we were getting in 7.1, and while the modern look is nice, it doesn't have the same character as the old styles. I like the old staircases and banisters, the old baseboards and wainscotting, and the crown molding and frieze. These give our homes personality, and we shouldn't have to give them up if we don't want pillars.
I would like to suggest partition archways again. There are already mahogany, oasis, glade, and alpine partition doors, but I am asking for door-less versions. It would really help with building out interiors when using similar partitions.
Also, speaking of current partition doors, blank versions that can have interior walls applied to them would be great as well (door-less for these too).
