Sorry if this has been asked before in this thread, but I couldn't find it:
When highlighting fist of wind on the action bar, its help window says that it reduces weaponskill recast times, but when highlighting the actual buff it does not list this effect. Also when using fist of wind, I don't notice a decrease in my gcd, sooo am I missing something?

Just a question. I'm rerolling for monk main right now and getting closer to 50. I've been doing ak's on my paladin while leveling so I can afford Sphairai +1(if i get some help doing the bosses). I can afford a few accessories possibly and I have most of the green monk gear from ak. Should i go for making the Relic +1 straight away or should I use my 900 mythology on armor parts instead in the beginning? Hard for me with no experience to guess if the 2 extra base damage on the weapon will grant me more dps than upgrading to ilv 90 gear 1-2 pieces.

Ok thanks that clears that up. I know bards hesitate a bit sicne they only get +1 base damage on theirs and get more stats from other things. Figured I'd ask to make sure I'm doing the right thing :)

The closest you're gonna get are Garuda's Talons, which are claws but at least they're surrounding the fist and look like actual arm-attached weapons instead of handheld clubs like 90% of Monk weapons. -

PUG dropping in. New to FFXIV and based on what I have been reading in this thread, I can easily say I'm a sure enough beginner in this class let alone this game. One thing I can say is I love playing this class over the others because my mentality in playing PUG/MNK class is I play it like I'm playing a fighting game taking full advantage of flanking and attacking the rear of the enemy. hitting 50 soon so I know my journey is just beginning ;)

First post on this forum. Just cleared turn 2 and 3 tonight but still no drops for me. I'm starting to consider getting the crafted pieces because I'm so unlucky :x
I have yet to see people agree on the proper rotation for monks anywhere so could anyone tell me what it is or if mine is wrong?
PB Opener:
ToD > DM > SP > SP > TwS > SP
DK (B4B)> TS (IR) > SP
FR (SP) > BS (HF) > TwS > SP
Then I just make sure I reapply DoTs while keeping TS buff and DK befuff up. My FCs tank is well geared but I have pulled off of him if I go all out unfortunately. -

like that you have your twin buff up,3 GL,BfB affect your 2 snap+all dot,IR affect ur dot also.you could mabey skip the first rotation and go like BfB-pb-twin(dunno if this buff affect dot) snap-snap-IR-demo-fract-tod
im not sure where to pop BfB.before pb you will lose 1-2 sec of bFb but your other attack will be boosted and since snap hit pretty hard,having them buffed seem a good thing and poping it right after PB you lose 1-2 sec on PB so.....you could pop it later also but it need to be before your DOT.
