I changed my mind - I do have something to say. A voice actor in the leading role should not be on social media instigating hatred and infighting among fans.
She is a terrible representative for the game, who does terrible work.
I hope the devs see how terrible she is for their PR. What an absolute disgrace!
i think we should stop talking about this person.
She just destroyed her career on her own volition.
But, i'm pretty sure that soon she will come back saying that nobody want to hire her because she is trans.... When in fact nobody will hire her because she's a jerk and a nightmare for PR (and not a good VA anyway)
Hey, join the club man. I'm a South American and I've had people trying to explain to me how "ackshually, DT 100% represents latino culture and voices well by using american VAs from LA and tacos". Now you get to be black and be told by white americans that an apple is infact an orange! Feels great, eh?
So based on FF14 twitter, we have...
- If you dislike Sena's job she did for Wuk's voice, you're transphobic.
- If you dislike Wuk Lamat as a character, you're misogynistic.
- If you dislike the song "Smile", you're racist.
It's par for the course, but FF14 twitter is checking all the "Things to call people who disagree with me about Dawntrail" boxes at an alarming rate and it's only been a month.
I'm more than a little surprised that that was OOH LOOKIT THOSE RACISTS who don't like a song! rather than OOH LOOKIT THOSE RACISTS that wrote a Black Gospel song and involved no black people!!
Really can't win.
