FFXIV 2nd expansion: Viera-like race still a possibility?

Viera arent different enough but THIS is an entirely different race approved by Y.P.

Garleans can't use magic, so they'd never ever be playable (unless SE are willing to make PGL, LNC and MRD the only playable Classes for them). Especially as that means they won't be able to use Return and Teleport... so what exactly is your argument?

Also, to repeat myself, people thought the Miqo'te in this picture was a Viera.

What about this:

Why not add Viera as a new subrace to Miqote? The term "Miqote" could be used for all mammalian demi-beastmen (including Viera).

From the Lore of Sophia:

On Gamerescape its stated, that Miqote originally came from Meracydia. When it comes to "multitude of races", it could be possible that other mammalian demi-beastmen-races (like Viera) originally came from Meracydia, too.

Im not arguing about their abities im just saying its pretty hypocritical to say viera are not different enough and then make a race that is a human being with a pearl glued to its forehead.

But a major difference between Viera and Mi'qote isnt only the ears and tail, its also the body. Viera are tall and have long arms and legs, I rather have Viera as we know them then Mi'qote with bunny ears and tail. Unless you meant they are Viera and have the Viera look, but are a sub-race of Mi'qote?

Yeah i think hes saying any human/animal mix be a sub race of miqote. I agree i love the tall slender viera. Like an elezen but without the deformed emaciated pinheads they have. (Sry elezen players)

I think the way this game would be likely to implement Viera would look pretty much identical to an Elezen wearing the Bunny Crown. I don't think it's worth a whole race for something that can already be done (at least by females) with just a glamoured headpiece.

Its the heads that are wrong. Viera are beautiful elezen are funky looking. And the bunny crown doesnt look like real ears thats like telling people that want dwarves to put the santa beard on a lalafell and saying its the same thing. Besides any race that gets added will be 95 percent human looking so all we are gonna get is a human with different animal parts or scales. So we gotta ask ourselves knowing that what 95 percent human race would you like added?
