It really depends on the GM you get. I've constantly got a negative response from my attempts, even though I was very close to the limit and provided all the necessary information politely. The first messages from SE were incredibly messy aswell... and it's been about a month and a half now.

Glad you got yours though. :) And anyone that has managed it.

I'm very much in favor of making it a purchasable item with cash. I don't want armor and weapons like in pay2win games, but I don't see the big deal. I used this service in WoW several times a year just to switch up my character.

I'm also ok with cosmetic armor/weapons that have no stats if they implement a transmog system like WoW.

Yoshi-P is worried that making it something easily obtainable will allow people to change it constantly, so offering it as a gil exchange in-game would mean people could change quite a lot.

They want to consider their options carefully and they appear to have gone for the cash-exchange option this time around as it's the most limiting one, people aren't going to pay £20 a week to change their character.

That's why he included "with a cooldown", I assume. Limiting it to once per week/month would be good, and its not like the change would really affect anyone but you. Selling Fantasia for real world money is fine, but a gil based system could easily work too.

It's a bit strange to me that people would want to change their race constantly, though. 2 Fantasias would be enough for me if I ever wanted to just experience being whatever race that isn't Lalafell. Maybe it's just because I haven't had that urge yet (though the camera can be quite annoying, admittedly :P) and still have my Fantasia, but I can't see someone being so indecisive that they buy like... 100 Fantasias and use one a day. Unless, of course, you have nothing better to do with your $/gil - but then the change is only really affecting you anyway.

Only replies I get from support is about the 10 days. Hardly fair considering those of us who used it in september had no idea about requesting a restoration until THEY told us in october...
