The other day I was getting my DRG to 60 and only needed 1 more Gubal Library run of exp to level up.
I got in and the healer was completely incompetent, and they even acknowledged that they had no idea what they were doing and we wiped multiple times on Demon Tome before they left out of (probably, from what it seemed) embarrassment. Had to wait a while just to abandon and then queue up again.
I felt bad for that healer but at the same time I was upset because it was a SCH and this person didnt even know the basics so it was probably a SMN playing SCH for the fast queue but having no clue how to heal. Being a SCH main myself makes it just more painful to watch

For a while my FC was forced to run dungeons with a random healer. Before vote-kick was added, had a horrible WP run where one of my guys & the random healer got into it. Healer started with the jerk remarks first, went on insulting the whole party. He sits down and doesn't move, so I open up a harassment report because he keeps insulting us. Suddenly I notice FC-color chat text in the window... 3rd FC member telling other guy to cool it end up having to tell our guy to shut up and just deal with it because I'm doing a harassment report and he could get himself suspended too because of the logs. Finally get that off, and get the two arguing to both say they'll do their jobs and we'll never see each other again. -

People not taking any advice. No matter the role, no matter the language, those... beings are everywhere. They suck and if you nicely tell them what they can do to not suck anymore, they either start an argument with you or don't react at all.
This dark knight in Toto-Rak, for example. I ran the dungeon on my dragoon and stole aggro from him every single time by using my combo once. Told him to use his AOE aggro skill and his AOE combo - no reaction, the dragoon tanks today.
Or summoners not applying their dots.
Or the infamous Umbral Ice BLMs.
Or WHMs applying regen right before the pull >.< -

Two days ago, running Makemesleep. We have a new-timer BRD who was very under geared. We get to the totem boss. We have a new-timer so one member tells them the mechanics. The fight takes so long to the point we wiped. This right now puts me to fly, wiping on that boss of all bosses. (Also the first boss, I noticed no one was downing the adds and we kept getting the 4 stacks of Vulnerability Up. If we weren't geared, that fight would have spelled trouble.) But I remain calm since new boss/mechanics etc. Once again the fight just really drags on. We eventually down the boss but not before I noticed the BRD, only DPSin the boss. I brought it up to the BRD that he shouldn't just been DPSin the whole time. His excuse was that he was new... So much rage started to swell up inside when he gave that excuse. I get that you're new but to stand there DPSin, (and the Mechanics explained at the beginning) while seeing us running around like chickens without a head to these totem, (which I know he has seen what happens if you don't move the totems under the AoE because we had about ~10 adds total spawn) while seeing the mechanic like 8 times, to try and not create more adds... From there we slowly progress to the final boss, one shot it like the first boss. I never left a duty so fast in my life before. I mean come on, even if the mechanics weren't explained, you can clearly see this boss charging this move, with a crap ton of totems on the field, finishing his cast and adds spawns. You mean to tell me that it never dawned on you're not only the only person attacking the boss, but you see us carrying these totems, that maybe I should help move the totem out of the AoE? ......
I gave the healer a commendation because she though I was talkin about her at first and she gave the saddest response that I felt bad even tho I wasn't about her DPSin. -

Been leveling Drg and BLM together, get one to 30 then level the other etc. A few things I've run into just make me either shake my head or chuckle.
Running hauuke Manor BLM and after a few pulls the healer says "gonna start sleeping things fyi". I'm probably a dick but I ignored his sleeps, he was uber geared and capable of keeping tank up, so not sure if he wanted to dps or what but my BLM aoe is much better on large groups, so yeah I ignored him. He didn't say anything though.
A different hauuke time, I noticed an AST newbie giving me the mana card, just me. I just say "don't worry about giving me your mana card, I can get mana back easy" and they say "I'm aware". >.> if you're aware why give me mana card then? I didn't say nothing but I laughed.
Running sunken temple on DRG, sprout tank, that's ok, says he needs fights explained, np. Well, get to 2nd boss after a few wipes. Wipe twice on soulstone boss because tank can't keep control of it on first phase and it bashes either my face or the healer. (In first phase tank holds aggro, after first soulstone is dead it kind of does its own thing). All my gear was broke after 5 wipes overall, so I left and went to bed since it was nearly 1am.Nothin against newbie tanks but man it sucks when they can't hold hate. Always a PLD too.
Been having a lot of problems leveling drg with tanks not being able to hold hate even against my auto attacks. Bad luck I guess. -

Told him that a Bole card doesn't take effect on a dark knight whose darkside is up - no reaction, I still got all the boles. And balances. And arrows. To think of it... maybe he simply didn't know the card effects...Quote:
