When we go abroad for international Cosplay competitions we usually bring about half a suitcase filled with Stroopwafels (Dutch Syrup Waffles) along.
For some reason we never go wrong with that stuff, no matter where we go.

We still have a lot of the Napoleon drops left @.@ For our defense, you really brought a HUGE bag!

Stroopwafels are awesome too but I tend to feel a bit sick after eating one or maybe two x_x

I was in Düsseldorf at the end of April and went to the Immermannstrasse ('cause there are so many japanese shops and restaurants there) just to find out that my favorite bookstore closed T^T Couldn't read the huge notice in the window though, so I don't know what exactly happened. Maybe they just switched the location? ._.

They usually come in huge bags indeed.
And while they are nice, the napoleon sweets aren't the type you eat very often, so yes, they tend to last a long time. :)

There is a shop selling lots of Japanese foodstuffs not too far from where I live, but it's a very expensive place so I tend to mainly go for the more exlusive things when I shop there.
Like Matcha, Japanese Curry and other hard to get things.

I get things like sweets and drinks straight from Japan when I go myself or if one or more friends go there.
Plunder all the Hyakuen shops! (100 yen shops) _0/

I don't go there too often so I mostly buy all the cute things and shed a little tear when the Hello Kitty Pockys were sold out ;_____;

Well, we're having bad weather here this evening and just when we managed to go into T1 with everyone (who never did it) and Caduceus just splitted.... I got a power blackout ;____________;
Gave me a heartattack when everything went black.

In other news, got my artisan's glasses last night! Yahoo! Glamoured them onto all my sets! All my over melded crafting headpieces will rest in piece inside my retainer. Perhaps desynth will let us salvage materia? xD

This was all perfect timing. I chose to do alchemist first for master book last night. I'd been putting that off for a while, because I had focused on atma - but yeah. Atma I've had terrible luck with, despite the hours put in, so I thought at least their was a highest chance for me with crafting! Then, my retainers brought me mossy giantsgall weapons, so I had to make them! Wahoo! HQ Thm staff, HQ Conjurer staff, so pretty!

I'm not keeping my hopes up on that, since last friday I too suddenly have 8 melded hats at my disposal.
For now, I will indeed keep my hats until I know what the desynth will be.

Worst comes to worse, I can always turn them in for company seals.

My retainer has reached her burglary phase, at this moment she keeps coming back with all kinds of furniture and other housing items.
She did bring back a Tier IV Control materia earlier this week, which is nice.

Apart from that, I've decided to master my Armorer first.

Did something new today~ Brought my ilevel90 SMN (mostly crafted or gear shared from BLM) to Turn 4 and gave it a spin.

I think I did pretty good. We cleared the thing very quickly.

I will say, however, that whoever said SMN never has mana issues is a big liar. I end up at ~200 MP for the longest time, and watch in horror as Aetherflow is still 30 seconds away from being ready, and I ask myself "How do other summoners NOT burn all their MP?"

Maybe all those blizzard 2 and Miasma II I toss to help out AoE are the cause, but I don't WANT to stop casting them! The sweet sweet damage, they agree with me! Why must the MP forsake me?!

On another note, our FC gardener finally started producing Glazenuts. Time for me to make lots of HQ plywood, and then we can start making workbenches and most importantly, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS! \^_^/

I think from 1.0 Grid Main quest line, there was someone look after them like the Carpenter Guild master. They just play and play all day...

Regarding the children:
Going to confess something.. I really hated those kids in 1.0 (still doing it but not that much anymore), because you had to do silly stuff with them during the Jobquests.
Carpenter was my highest craft back then and I expected some serious tasks during those quests but instead you had to babysit them and even 'play' Parlay D:
I thought they were annoying and awful because they played some dirty tricks on their teacher.
I'll never forget how he was standing separated in the Adventurer's guild, wearing a mask :(

I'd like to see the world fleshed out more with younglings for the races added, as well as more elderly characters and pets/domestic animals included in the city! There are "Lalafell children" but they look like adult Lalafells, which just makes me confused. Can't they just have a unique character model?

Also, I'm certain that, walking through Pearl Lane at night, you'd probably see a marmot scurry across the cobblestones in Ul'dah, or the occasional bird, squirrel or beetle in Gridania. I loved how in XI, people had rarabs as pets in Windust, you saw dhalmel farms, and the goblin shop in Jeuno had rarabs caged and hanging from the ceiling. These little details enhanced the world a lot. :)

If I were to have a pet from Eorzea, it would be...

But then, this is hardly strange. The concept of universal education is a product of our late industrialisation period. In the late medieval ages, to which Eorzea is broadly comparable, an organised education was reserved for the wealthy.

The Acorn Orchard served more as an orphanage. Poor things.

The newest Eorzean History textbooks haven't been updated to recent years just yet. I plan on crashing the editorial office and adding a "Yarndolon" index right before it goes to print :3

The almighty Yarndolon descended upon Eorzea and brought yarn to all the Miqo'te in the realm and everyone instinctively knew; All is well.
