Yoshi should have posted in Japanese so we could get a translation of it!
In Rein's last translation, he calls the red moon "Dalamund". I've also seen it called that in other places that I don't recall off the top of my head. In some places though (like a newspaper article on the Lodestone about the red moon), it's called "Dalamud". Does anyone understand the difference there? Is it called the different names in different languages? Is someone in the lore department just regularly misspelling with a faulty N key? What's the real name..?
"Dalamund" is a very common spelling of it too though (just search the forums for it and you'll find picture threads of "Dalamund", posts about upcoming patches, etc.) so I can't help but wonder why there are two very common spelling variations of the moon's name..?
I don't really see many typos regularly but I can see how that would be the case. If someone typos it once and someone else who isn't familiar with the word sees that and reproduces it elsewhere it could become a misspelling epidemic of sorts. It isn't the sort of thing that spell check would normally help with either. Thanks!
Edit: By the way, I initially thought it was Dalamund too for the very same reason stated above: saw it written as Dalamund and thought that must've been right. I don't generally talk about it but have often thought the word with that pronunciation. Now it's going to be hard getting used to the correct word XD

It's been Dalamud in every official thing I can remember, the N is probably just the Japanese pronunciation.
Edit: nevermind, I guess its just the most common way people misspell it.
