The data center moved physically closer to South America, so the ping should be better than before logically speaking, where it is not, it is likely the result of poor routing, which may improve in the next few days or weeks.

It's entirely possible that the routing your data is taking right now routs towards the old location and then detours to the new resulting in a more extended ping. As that routing improves and becomes more direct your ping should drop.

No they won't, and no it didn't. People need to stop running around screaming like the sky is falling and understand that the new location itself does not cause egregious ping times, bad routing and poor ISP service does. Better to give it s week or two and complain at your ISP about the bad routing than to quit the game over something that SE cannot ever control.

What are you talking about? With proper optizimed tunneling, we get ping in the 200s where before we could get 120-140 which was acceptable. 200 is just enough for me to consider it poor service and not want to pay any subscription.

Yo I'm playing at roughly 190-220 now (no idea what it was before) and everything seems just as good if not faster. Got a question though, just in case I'm understanding it wrong. What exactly does it mean to "double weave" your ogcds? Is this where you essentially start using the 2nd one while the animation for the first is still in effect?

You are really missinformed. The network does not follow a straight imaginary line into the destination. South American network goes through a submarine cable which ends up in the North American east cost, so it is logical that our ping has been increased, since SE did a pretty dumb decision of moving the servers all the way to the fucking west coast without doing any kind of research about it's impacts in South American players.

biggest upgrade for me personally is still the 0% loss, overall gameplay itself is the same for me, will see if double weaving got easier for me later on though. (should get less stalls and hangs too hopefully, my packet loss could avg at 20% at times, was pretty bad. ping in itself is only about 10 ish less)

It means being able to use 2 OGCD skills before the next GCD comes up.

You are missing the point then. I am complaining how the game is badly coded and only tolerable if you have very low latency. I guess a slight improvement over 1.0 as far as the game being innate laggy = good? Stuff should not go on CD/ resources be used up, and have them fail (not work) takes too long to get lbs to apply it there, and it even happens on 2 min CDs. 2 min cds should not just fail because that is a long time.

Ah I see! Thanks for the info! Soooo, even at 220 I can do this so I'm very confused about what the OP is complaining about. The game is nowere near unplayable now.
