I do like the social aspect of the train. Because there's not much going on, if you're not going afk you're killing monsters non-stop like chains. But after 30+ minutes of nothing changing, people start to get loopy. They get chatty.
Shout chat erupts with random conversations. This can cause some silly things to happen, like bear puns at Callisto or eye puns at Hakutaku and Angra Mainyu. You find unorthodox ways to entertain yourself while mindlessly slaying mobs, and others are doing the same. Brothers in arms, partners in pain. We're all suffering from Stockholm syndrome, but we're suffering together.
It's an interesting feeling because it really does become a social event, even if the content itself isn't interesting. If that social aspect could be channeled into gameplay that was equally as engaging, we could have a real winner.
