Hello,

I accidentally abandoned my relic quest, and now it is making me start all over!

I already turned in a Champion's Lance with two Savage Aim III materia. Anyone have any ideas?? The in-game GMs said there is nothing that can be done at this time.

Because there isn't. There are people who have abandoned the quest and people whom the game has glitched on and abandoned it for them. GM can do nothing at the time but take your information. You can either start over or wait for an unknown amount of time till the developers implement a fix. It's up to you... how far along are you and how long do you want to wait for a possible solution.
It is possible that by the time SE has a fix for it you could have surpassed your current progress. It's up to you.

Just finished my first relic (Artemis Bow), but when aproaching Gerold to start the new one, it only allows me to get the Paladin (Curtana) quest. Wanted to go for BLM now but it's locked. Any ideas?

So, question. I have my magitek, hunters logs & andapor quest done.

However when I go to vesper, he's just standing here dick in hand...I've checked the story npcs, job npcs & outside andapor to no avail.

Anyone have a clue?

I had a HQ Picatrix of Casting for SMN, Melded 2 Savage Might III's, and the guy would not accept it for the quest. Talked to him and everything, still had a big Red-Circle above him and I could not progress. Once i got the NQ Melded i got the pop up saying I could turn it in and the circle turned green.

Does it have to do with usage of the item? Because I had used the HQ once in a dungeon prior... I imagine he might not accept a partially damaged or Spiritbound one?

Mine was fully spiritbound when I turned it in, and he took it.

I already have my Dragoon Relic from 1.0. Why does the quest still show when I talk to Gerolt?

Also, I was on Ifrit Ex in 1.0 for my BLM Relic. If I do not restart the quest can I work on another weapon and not lose my progress on my BLM? I technically am not abandoning it because the quest is not in my log to abandon.

You won't lose your progress in your BLM quest. I started scholar quest first even tho I was partway into PLD quest from 1.0. After finishing that and starting PLD quest, I started right after getting the time-worn curtana just like I was on in 1.0. There might be other instances where your progress wasn't really saved tho. I hear people who got the alumia salts from speedrunning already had to kill chimera for the salts anyways, which is a bummer.

I am having a hard time to understand or find the solution myself so here i am dropping the question wherest i cant find a answer on.

I am doing a relic reborn quest, and i need to kill Garuda HM, yet i see other people getting totally different quests, same as here the quest line i see for completetion doesnt involve Garuda HM,

Ive done Ifrit HM, the follow up was talk to the blacksmith guy and then he gave me kill Garuda HM for timeworn artemis bow, how do i unlock Hydra? chimera?
Titan HM unlocks by defeating Garuda Hm i know, still how to unlock the other 2?

A: No you can't. You can only have one Relic Reborn quest at a time. You must fully complete the relic or abandon before starting the quest for a different class.


This seems to be a huge problem for arcanists.

I finished the relic on my SMN and wanted to start it for BRD. It's not possible to start BRD one though since you get SMN + SCH when starting it as ACN. Gerolt is only talking to me while SCH soul is active and the only option i have is "A Relic Reborn (Omnilex)" which is the SCH weapon. There seems to be no way to fully abandon the quest. Nedrick isn't offering any quest either when I'm on BRD soul.

just started my relic, having a member in my fc who's a lvl 50 black smith help me out with the base weapon.

Have you completed all of the Bard job quests? The quest will only appear if you've completed them and talking to him with the Bard stone equipped.

So beating HM Garuda unlocks HM Titan? The duty finder doesn't have HM Navel for some reason yet I got 2/3 of the items. I have to beat her again for the game to register the kill or find another attunement stone? U'Ghamaro Mines doesn't have an attunement stone like for Ifrit or Garuda. Nm didn't do the next step of the quest.

Just finished Titan Hardmonde last night to complete my Summoner Relic Yay!. The fight was quite exhillarating!

If you are up to Garuda, then you have already passed the Chimera and Hydra

You have to go to the Waking Sands to pick up the quest to unlock Titan

click on the forge near the blacksmithe for your relic quest should be to the left of him

Hydra is blocking my way more than Chimaera. There's no party.

Question: I started a relic reborn (BLM) im up to the ampador keep section.

Can i complete this as WHM and get credit towards my BLM quest?

I doubt it, as the quest is for your BLM and afaik you need to complete it with the specific job.



EDIT: see step 9 in the OP:
"9 - Obtain Amdapoor Glyph from Amdapoor Keep. You must complete this duty as the JOB you are getting the relic for. You get the glyph upon exiting the dungeon. Exchange with Rowena for "Interview with a Padjal""

When 15 DRG yelling for group ( HYDRA ) whats then becomes of my odds since I'm a DRG as well to get into a decent group ?

I really like to know before my commitment to paying for a Game which at this point is Broken for me.

Ok, so i was doing relic for BLM had it on my quest for a couple of weeks. Then leveled WHM and change dropped my quest to add it with my newly awesome job (WHM). Now Nedrick ironheart doesnt give me the relic quest? i have even allowed the servers to reset on Sunday and its monday and i still cant get the quest :(
whats going on? finished the game, finished the job quest? what else can i do?

I was advised that after melding the material, if I turned the weapon in, I would not get it back until after beating Titan. So I kept the weapon for now. Having cleared Ifrit and Garuda I didn't receive white hot ember or howling gale. Is it necessary to turn in the weapon to continue the quest? That would leave me using an inferior weapon for those fights.

Indeed you cannot in fact progress the quest if you do not turn your weapon in, Brises

You should be talking to Gerolt, you only need to talk to Nedrick Ironheart for the first time you are doing the Relic quest, but since you already partially did it on BLM and abandon it, you do not need to talk to Nedrick again but instead talk to Gerolt.

Yes you need to turn in the weapon before you beat Ifrit and Garuda HM. During those two fight you should either be using the level 50 GC weapon/farm Wanderer's Palace for Darklight weapon/buy a new weapon and if you are lucky, you might get Ifrit weapon that you can use for both Garuda and Titan HM fight.

If you had a pre-existing Relic Reborn quest in your journal, you may not be able to progress in the staages that require instanced fights like - Dhorne Chimera, Amdapoor Keep, Hydra, Ifrit, Garuda or Titan.

I am not sure if this bug will apply to quests started after patch 2.05.

So much farming is waiting for me in the future ._." oh holly at times I dont even want to think about relic xD

The weapon need can be HQ or it need to be normal?

Ifrit and Garuda are very easily done in PUGs, Chimera and Hydra WILL be PUGs as there is no DF for them. However, Titan is very, very hit or miss. Having used the DF for weeks, I have not passed it yet. Of course, people will blame me more often than not, but... Just understand, people think Titan can be done with AF gear, and GC weapons. If you don't know your rotations and times to dodge, like many do not, then it will feel impossible.

Alright thanks for the reply and advice. I will keep hoping and trying. Will prepare with great gear, and learn to dodge better. I thought regular Titan was hard. Haha I am a noob.

I am sad..

All I had to do was beat Titan for my WHM relic weapon. Was in Mor Dhona last night, 30k exp away from getting my Warrior to lv50, so I picked up a few leves to finish it off. Ended up catching 2 FATEs and hitting lv50 from those. Went to Journal to abandon the Leves I picked up, and ACCIDENTALLY ABANDONED MY RELIC WEAPON QUEST.

I am still in disbelief 12 hours later. Is there anyway to get it back?

2 accessories away from full DL gears, still no luck with primal weapons. XD

Guess I will be rocking my shining but dull ilvl 55 sword when I take on Titan.
