Honestly anyone think developers gonna go the 24h route after the recent updates direction ?(not that i agree with 24h repop time)

I do not mind a 24hour NM if the drops are available in other form of options, says instances.
but hell no if its the only way to get a particular gear..

if i am on for 5hour tonight after having a life outside this game, i would want to play the game and not standing around for 3hours.. you know playing the game, hitting marmots is better than standing around for 3hours. lol

24hr NMs could have 1hr windows...did you know this isn't 11 and they could implement 24hr NMs differently?

They also don't need to exist (in fact they don't, thankfully, at least in this game).

The smaller the window, the more people that don't live in the right timezones are disadvantage and cut out of the content completely.

comparing camping a HNM with nyzul/sky/sea/dynamis/etc/etc/etc that ffxi had i know what was fun and what not.But to each its own.Btw i camped HNMS more than i want to admit -.- .

I also typically rely heavily on grammar abd spelling checks. Which the ps3 don;t have. Having ADD sucks. I have to type faster then i can clearly think, or I completely lose my train of thought and forget what I wanted to say.


Ontopic zzk or w.e half of this topic is about 24 hr pop timers ala ffxi. most ppl been talking about ffxi. All visch and svar do is insult anyone who posts against them. And dare say the word retarded.

Just because I don't play ffxiv yet. (not like i have a choice) I do not want 24 hour timed nm. Those were not even fun. And unlike vish claim, most pop times where in japanese time zone, or for my self 12-6 am. I went on several runs with a friends hnmls because he wanted to help me with getting black belt.

Regarding 24 hour pops, I don't get how sitting and waiting for something to appear can be considered fun gameplay. There's no challenge involved in waiting 24 hours for something to appear. On FFXI while waiting for an NM to show up I'd have to reach for my PSP and play another game to keep myself entertained while already playing a game - this is kind of silly in my opinion. Also inb4 my current rank is brought into question and something about how I never got ridill or something along these lines...truly my opinion-nay my life-is invalid!

unless you are talking about ZNM type, where you need to build the pop items.. that i do not really mind, because you know it is not standing around, playing the game (like hitting the mobs) and you can do it anytime.

Sadly these threads will never end, casuals think all content has to be for them so the rest of us get bored from being efficient.
I loved and arguement recently with casuals about ff11 and relic weapons, and how they think there needs to be relics in 14 soon that everyone can get in a week, relics/hnm's dont have to be for you, its beyond what your willing to work for.
Imagine and arguement in rl that because you cant afford a new car, cars shouldnt exist, get smarter, get more money, buy a car.
Be more efficient, be smarter, hang around smarter people, or play alot i guess, its not our fault that your not involved more.

agree, FFXI is a great game, I'm sure many of us here think so, but camping for HNM isn't one of the features which makes it great.

some people are trying to mediate. More pops a day means more timezones covered. Personally I don't even find the need for a mediation.
This game needs content. Making content less accessible for the sake of some self elected hardcore's ego is counterproductive.

Cuz I don't want ppl banned for stupid reasons. the less ppl who play ffxiv the worst it gets. I got an agenda dude >:) More ppl who play ffxiv, the better it gets, the faster the ps3 version comes out, faster I get to play. I do own the game and would love to play it right now. I'm also a potential player and have just as much of a say or opinion on staff as everyone else.

To the two people in this thread advocating XI "king"-type spawns,

It seems the primary reason you don't want fast spawns is your concern that gear won't be rare or "special." I suspect the reason you don't want online games such as this to be accessible to those of us with jobs and families is because you are worried that there will be no advantage to being a neckbeard sitting in your parents' basement all day. Once everyone has a Silver Tricorne and Dodore Doublet, you might feel you'll once again be the losers you are in real life.

But it's ok! Like in real life, no one truly cares about you or what you do. Those of us with real lives just want to get on and relax after a hard day of -real- work. If you ever get a job, you'll understand the value of free time.

I get it; you want to block us from fighting HNMs in the game the way you feel you are blocked by us in real life. Sadly, the makers of this game care more about what the majority of us want rather than you two and the handful of botters who agree with you. With that in mind, let's all just try to have fun playing. No matter how many people have a Champions' Lance.
