Hope so, thank you.
It's so sad its come down to stuff like this. Square Enix really needs to get there stuff together.
I really don't want to do the Amazon thing, but it seems likely. So do I just go through the transaction as normal, and it will send me the code, than I just go to my account and cancel order?
My luck is I would get another EU code. =P
Download or Hard Copy?
I think codes will work if we only register now. They seem to have fixed something in the site, so first time redeemers or those who couldn't get past error 3 before will be able to get their correct codes now. We just got stuck because we already redeem our codes previously and the system recognizes that that's why we just keep getting the same code.
It seems like devs are lurking around in the General Forums but no love for the Technical Support forums. :<
Can anyone post this issue in the General Forums? I can't seem to start a thread there.
If someone starts a thread, we can all hop on to that one and try to get their attention or something.
The site is still giving me the same code, and that same code still isn't working.
Finally set after getting a new code from Amazon. Didn't like Ordering then canceling, though.
The problem is, when we first pre-ordered the game, we entered our emails addresses on the site to be notified when to redeem our codes. Even though the link in our emails was na.preorder.etc, the ACTUAL web url was eu.preorder.etc. I know this because when I tried to change the eu. to na. in the url box, it just refreshed the eu. in the url.
I don't know when the correction was addressed, but I will guess it was around the time of Beta Phase 4. I was able to speak with a SE rep last night (of course after waiting for 2 hours) and have understood that this affects everyone who entered their email address on the preorder site prior to August.
I'm very disappointed that there is no guarantee that this situation can be resolved in time for EA, and I feel sorry for the lot of PS3 players that have to endure this madness.
We have paid money for a product and for services. There is a principle here that needs to be acknowledged by SE and no more of these meaningless "we apologize" responses. With everything that has happened between the start of Beta phase 4 until now, let this be evidence as to why you should never plan for a smooth rendition and wait until the last minute. If we started redeeming EA codes 2 weeks ago even, this might have been fixed with more fluidity and less anxiety.
We are all clamoring for this game to be released, which makes me fear that the developers are rushing things and not crossing their T's and dotting their I's.
Players experiencing issues have every right to be upset, but don't forget there is a lot more pressure on the team at SE to not only put forward a successful game, but to please as many players as they can. They can certainly do a better job in that respect. It's been a bit over two days and I have yet to see any dev respond to this issue, even if it's just an update, at least it's something.
Looks like someone is bringing this subject to light on twitter: https://twitter.com/FF_XIV_EN/status/370685101694148608. Maybe others should voice their opinions as well? Looks like they referred to the other 30 page thread too.
They've updated everyone but the ps3 people stuck getting their dam EU codes because they behaved like its so hard to separate NA from EU. Even the tickets say "oh just try again" like we haven't been trying since god know when. If they can address everyone else they should be addressing us and not waiting to the last minute before everyone can get in game
Here's my solution that I think SE will implement. Currently if you get a new preorder code, it will work now because the site errors have been fixed. Since the traffic to the preorder site has diminished a lot, they (SE or Sony) are going to wipe the part of the database that stores the psn codes that everyone has already received. This will allow us to re-enter the preorder codes in the correct region and get a working psn code. I think they will implement this later today to make sure that all that have preorder codes unused yet can still get their codes without issues. I think they are waiting in case things turn out for the worst. But this seems like it would work.
Can someone please put up a link to chat support? I am unable to find it pls.....
support.na.square-enix.com. you gotta fill out a ticket first and then you should see a chat support option.
also, if you google their phone number, some of the landing sites have links to chat support for them
My PS3 code still isn't working *invalid code* I also have a EU code.
I am up for trading codes
Email me Michaeldorminey@aol.com
yea i've been yelling at them via twitter too. no luck so far.
I do not understand how they can ignore problem they caused. I had my SE NA account since 2009 but looks like since they changed the site my member account is stuck in Eu page. When I login I get the Na member even the flag says USA but on the pre-order redeem site it switches to EU. Sometimes when I login member its list my SE members as Eu account. How can company get it so wrong Your account info is your home country by default that should set region. This probem is so messed up my tickets said they will contact me in 2 days maybe. Was given the copy paste beta4 reply. Also they never sent us an email from when 1st ordered you had to put your email in so they would send us our promo codes...
If the fix that I proposed works in that manor, it won't take long for you to get your code. If they wipe that part of the database that stores the already sent psn codes and have you use the preorder site again for the correct region, you should get a new, good code. What I don't understand and why they haven't done this yet. While it sounds like a good solution, I don't know the how their database is setup and if SE or Sony is the one that manages it, so I can't really say it's that simple.
I hope this gets fixed before I make it to 50 post. I would rather have been posting about how great this is we finally here FFxiv arr ps3. Sadly it is all frustration, disappointment and feeling neglected by them not even acknowledge Ps3 Ea code error.(who bought the physical copy)
Ok I'm done with my public QQ.
~Sorry for the rant
To anyone still experiencing this issue, please contact SE phone support. Make sure you get a ticket number from the online support site (yes, you will have to go through email support first and complete it until you get the ticket number.)
The phone representative was very cooperative and provided a new PSN 12 digit code.
Good luck everyone. And always be polite and patient!!! They will be just as cooperative.
To anyone with a 1.0 account who registered for PS3 EA.

We are free to choose now
Well I'm waiting in chat support. *fingers crossed* I'll let you guys know if it works for me. If it does, I'd suggest you guys try it too.
I've been trying to get ahold of Square-Enix on the phone but both numbers I have give me a "This number is no longer in service" message. :(
Any ideas?
Edit: Nevermind, had some numbers mixed up. ^.^ Just a busy signal now.
I tried to contact Amazon to see if they would give me a new code but I haven't had any luck so far.
Come on Square Enix! Let us know what's going on with these codes please! ; ;
Maybe we should make this thread over in General... seems that's where the mods are lurking.
May someone please guide us in this thread?
