670m is much weaker than your desktop 580.. that result isn't surprising at all, imo.
Lower the resolution and you'll get a nice high score :)
Is it just me, or does the game seem to favor NVIDIA GPU's?
I think it is/was the 680mx .. but they're about to release the 7XX series of mobile gpus.. don't know how those stack up, though.
..some laptops have SLI (2 gpus) but those are the huge 9+ lb notebooks..
670m should play it fine if you lower the settings a bit

Ok. I slightly overclocked the Laptop GPU.
Score: 3465 @ 1920x1200
then I lowered resolution and got a higher score.
Score: 4223 @ 1680x1050
Score: 3764 @ 1920x1080
Score: 6504 @ 1280x720
This is with every single setting on the 670m Nvidia config set to max. So I guess I should be satisfied with that for a laptop.
Ah ok. Now I feel less furious LOL
Surprised how nice it looks! The frame rate is a huge improvement over 1.0

I just built this PC a couple weeks ago. I5-3570k, OCZ SSD, DDR3 2133 8gb memory, and a GTX 670 GPU
I have a gtx 560ti and got around 5k maxed out, over 6k with a few things lowered.
Not too happy to be honest but I don't have the cash for an upgrade at the moment :(

FINALLY someone with a score closer to mine. For a while this thread seemed like a brag fest for people with intense gaming computers. My computer's pretty damn good, and it only got 3646 (consistently in that area, give or take 10) on max settings.
My laptop got 2489 on Medium preset. Didn't sound like "standard" given all the sound stuttering, but I'm glad it got a score better than "fail".
My initial result when all I did was click the max setting.

And this is with the latest drivers which are currently not even optimized for this benchmark/game, I'm curious how much more performance we might gain when nVidia gets their hands on it. :D
How do you make the window fit your screen?
At maximum settings, I scored something in the 5000s. Not amazing, but not horrible.
Tweaked more in line with how I'll likely actually play it, I got the following...
Score:6459
Average Framerate:54.618

-Easily capable of running the game. Should perform exceptionally well, even at higher resolutions.

On an alternate config where I had a few other things turned down, I got 7068. I'll likely stick with the 6459 config above. That's more than good enough for me.
PC specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T (running 5 cores @ 3.2Ghz)
Memory: 8GB (4x2048MB) DDR3 12800.
GPU: ATI HD Radeon 5870
1920x1080 Maximum + LOD + LOD Streaming: 5073, 5076
1920x1080 High: 5698
1920x1080 Medium: 7773
1920x1080 Medium - Occlusion Culling: 8082
Overall, my impression is that I'd probably be happy playing at any of the graphics settings, but am pleased to see that I could get over 5000 points after tweaking the Maximum settings a little. I'm sure I'll be even happier once I fund my next PC.
I seem to be CPU-bound when I enable Occlusion Culling, so that actually hurts my performance in complex scenes. The client never goes above 33% usage in the Task Manager, though, so I suspect that the client is only using 2 threads. That leaves my system with unused horsepower, but 2 threads is pretty normal for current games. I think the last project I shipped actually made use of 4 threads on PC, but we tried to be overachievers.
If I were willing to play with fire, I could unlock the CPU to turn off a couple of the cores and overclock the remaining ones... but I'm not keen to do that, anymore than I'm keen to overclock the GPU. It's just not worth it.
Here's my experimentation in a bit more depth:
1920x1080 Maximum: 4760
+Occlusion Culling: 4274
+LOD: 4963, 4958
+LOD Streaming: 4490, 5033, 5029
1920x1080 Maximum + LOD + LOD Streaming: 5073, 5076
1920x1080 High: 5698
1920x1080 Medium: 7773
-Occlusion Culling: 8082
smooth as silk on my desktop and runs choppy on my laptop.
didnt have 1920x1080 so i picked 1920x1200 i should gain a better score on 1080p.

That would probably depend on how much the dev team worked with nVidia beforehand. They're pretty cool people, and like to help developers maximize the performance of their cards when approached.
nVidia has a major competitor, though, which shall remain nameless, and was not so helpful in my last project's attempt to get help. This competitor had a tendency to let emails fall into black holes, and tended to respond to technical questions about performance problems with "Can you send us an executable? Here, try this beta driver." We were actually pretty scared about that. o.O` I hope they were just giving us the cold shoulder because we weren't well known for our PC offerings and that they would give S|E more attention.
Test run at 4.2ghz not sure why it shows 3.3

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130104-1431)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M (VRAM 4050 MB) 9.18.0013.1090
As I'm on a laptop, 1600x900 is my screen's highest resolution. Still, getting a passable fps, score, and performance on maximum settings, I couldn't do that with 1.0. Call me impressed.

Now where can I get one of those UltraHD monitors at a good price? ;)
