While Yoshida demonstrates on stage, there are three other team members backstage controlling the other party members that he meets up with in the demo. The bottom three screens you see are for the other staff members, with the raised screen being Yoshida’s character. The large screen in front shows what is currently being shown on the main stage.

They’re currently holding live demonstrations each day at 2:30pm, 4pm and 5:30pm, so I hope you’re all cheering them on through the stress! lol

Assuming this post is serious and not a sarcastic troll, I too am glad it's starting to look like a modern MMO, but there won't be any thanks or tears of joy from me until we know it meets standards *and* surpasses expectations. Simply having modern conveniences is great, but many MMOs have them. What we need out of 2.0 is an FFXIV elevated to match gameplay standards but also differentiate itself and innovate, and the videos so far only imply the former.

Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing, and it will be hard to get the full feel for the game prior to it's release. Vanilla XIV went for innovation and uniqueness at the expense of gameplay, 2.0 needs to nail gameplay but still have an evolution to it, otherwise it's merely gone from poor to average. "Better", but not a true success.

So, at least from me, no tears of joy yet for simply, as far as we can tell, pushing XIV toward mere MMO standards. There's hope, the videos are definitely a step in the right direction. We're still a long way from dumping Gatorade on the dev team, though, because we're not even into the Second Half yet.

It's possibile that nobody made a decent video? ..i'm shocked. :|

Just got back from gamescom. Will try to upload my crappy video's and make a post summarizing the gameplay.

And also. THE GRASS LOOKS FINE AND RIVERS ARE LOOKING SPLENDID!!! This is not me being a fanboi, it really does. The screenshots make them seem far worse than it is.

In the mean time, random screenshots of me with the lovely boothbabes. Had to take one together with the female elezen!

In all honesty. Most of my friends (who don't play FFXIV!) got a shirt. But I was left with a small electric fan, that displays in lights "Final Fantasy" -> "XIV" -> "A realm reborn". Nifty little thing though. And it still has the logo on it. So I'm not too empty-handed.

Won't be for the next few hours. And don't expect good quality though. And I'll have to seperate it into two parts while leaving a gap somewhere in the gameplay. I recorded it with my digital camera, that already was filled with pictures. So it couldn't record it all :(. Had to finish the rest with my cellphone. Although I did saw other people record as well. So... many video's should pop up over the coming days.
