So with 6.2 around the corner, the adventurer plate system is coming out of beta. If you want to save any portraits, you'll need to have it linked to an outfit or gear set...otherwise it sounds like they're getting wiped.

Good advice for others, but for me, all my portraits were wiped when I formatted my SSD and reinstalled Windows. :( But since I switch back to viera most were broken anyway. :p

Ahh RIP :( I'm hoping that the 6.2 version will let us keep previous portraits, even when we fantasia away for a bit. I have this one lala portrait that I love and I'm keeping it linked juuuust in case. Not holding my breath that it'll still be there when I switch back, but we'll see.

But for now, this is mine. It's too dark and I should redo it, but laaaazy.

Oh why thank you! My Viera always seems like a moody B, and so the dots and schedule layout feel a bit too playful (this was my lala's layout). :X Maybe next week they'll have some new options added.

That's kind of the mood for viera in all the emotes really. :p Though the cuter face might offset it a bit.

I'm always in here saying we need more options. We need A LOT more frankly, more portrait backgrounds, etc..

You could either omit the pattern completely, or perhaps try the one with the angle stuff in it, can't remember the name. My cenobyte style plate a couple pages back has the plain black If you wanted to see what a complete plate looks like with it.

I made a portrait I like but it won't let me apply it! There is no option to use it as the main portrait unless I'm missing something?
Or I have to create the portrait twice? So that it's saved but have to apply it again so I have to recreate it again? Or maybe it's a bug that I can't apply a portrait to my adventure plate without having to re-do them over & over.

portrait is now for instant portrait (pvp)

You have go to adventurer plate and click edit portrait and afaik you can't import from portrait nor save adventurer plate portrait.

Is that seriously the case? I was wondering why I couldn't apply saved portraits for my plate as I liked to use different ones for each job.

What a stupid decision, why did they removed the ability for us to be able to do that?

Yep, it's really the case. If you want to make a portrait for the adventure plate, you have to edit it within the adventure plate. It is really, really dumb. The fact that it HAS to be linked to gearsets now is pretty dumb..

Agree, I liked that we could assign a portrait to the adventurer plate, but I do like that we can make portraits for each gear sets.
