How do you amplify something that is simply a traveler's ward? What, is WoL supposed to be like eight times immune to tempering, with the ward and six "amplifications" and the Echo? That seems pretty pointless.

I think the Blessing clearly imparts more than just a ward, since so much seems to fall under it's purview.

^This. She's not unique in being a primal which bestows a blessing, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's similar in nature to the ones gifted by the others, forming a link between the protege and the primal. The way in which it taxes her to do this, and how this factored into the spread of light on the First, is indicative of this, IMO. A ward may exist at the base of it but it is clearly much more than that.

I think that the crystals helped to create a seal to keep the ascians out of places like the rising stones (ascians like Nabriales from other shards were unable to enter when we had it.) Once we lost the Blessing of Light and the crystals grew dark they were able to get it. Nabriales even said that the "seal" wad gone and he could act. An Uninvited Ascian cutscenes 1 and 2

Also once we started getting part or the crystals back Igeyohrm even said we had only gotten the Blessing of Light back so far at a fraction of its former strength after fighting Bismark. Bolt Chain and Island Cutscene 6

Also if you notice it it seemed Hydaelyn used all of the elements anyway for any type of ward or shield she made.

Yes, but Light isn't an "element" the same as the others, it's like a polarity. So even being crystals of all the elements, they were Crystals of Light, aspected to Light.

And again if you look Light and darkness aren't the crystals being used I'm talking about the 6 elements

Each "Crystal of Light" was of a different Element we had all six of them . From different elementary charged areas hell one of them we got directly from a Sylph who got it from his primal God or knocked one straight out of a wind primal.

Crystal of Light is just a term they're using to attribute it as a "gift" from Hydaelyn.

Yes, and all of those crystals were simultaneously aspected to Light. Any of the elements can be aspected to either Light or Darkness irrespective of being fire/ice/etc.

No because they said they had the Astral and Umbral Backwards on the source from the first Astral was Dark and umbral was Light three elements per Astral and Umbral. Darkness Astral for growth and Light Umbral for stagnation and peace.

Basically there has never been two sets for the elements one Light aspected the other dark aspected its always been the split up between the 6 on if they are of Astral (dark) or Umbral (Light) affiliated.

The elements have intrinsic astral or umbral propensities, but any of them can be rendered astral or umbral, as BLM will attest to. The Source having things backwards on it does not change that and was not implied to do so to my recollection. So the presence of all six elements does not imply a mix of astral and umbral in and of itself. The EE goes into this as well, on how whether an element is in an astral or umbral state in the world can affect how it manifests, e.g. umbral fire being a dry heat.

So anyway, honestly I just found it interesting that she used all 6 elements in the warding as well as any seal she created.

Edit: a little off topic completely but when in the 7 hells are we going to get a new EE?

Huge difference between Mommy cutting off your credit cards and Mommy murdering your entire family and forcing you not to remember them when you are reborn. The sundering was the second, and tbh was awful and should never have happened.

If Azem is ever actually shown in-game, like through a flashback or in a dream sequence where we actually play as them, they might do what BioWare did on Dragon Age: Inquisition. There's a scene where the Inquisitor (the PC) meets Hawke, the PC from DA2. Before the cutscene plays, you are taken to a character creation screen where you can create Hawke. This way, the version of Hawke that shows up in the cutscene is actually YOUR Hawke.

This way Azem could very much resemble our WoLs if we so choose, or we could make Azem look completely different.
