They're so elegant & it's something xiv lacks when it comes to hairstyles

I was hoping that we could get some dreadlock hairstyles for Hyur, Au-Ra and Viera males (we don't have any at present) and female (there's only one for Hyurs/Roegadyns). Was thinking of styles like these (Would be cool if they were available on all races though for male and female respectively):

I would like to see more long sideswept hairstyles for female characters. I have a female Elezen alt, and I think this hair is very beautiful.

I know female Viera have access to a sideswept hairstyle, similar to Marion Cotillard's hair, but I think making another version for the other races would be a great addition.

An A2-esque hairstyle, or just her hair in general, would really be appreciated, since we don't even have one. I hate that we didn't get it.

I really want 8 and I'd use that, it's kinda strange imo that we don't have more simple long hairstyles like that.

My Au Ra character has a ponytail and it can be quite animated at times. You mean other races don't get ponytails?

Something I think gets overlooked a lot too is faces, I'd like more of them and/ or updated textures.
The second female Highlander face in particular that I've used in the past is noticeably lower res it's pretty bad when you compare to newer races in particular.

Some are in need of it more than others I am sure most people can think of races where like 99% of people use the one same face ( Femroes, almost all female Highlanders I see use the first one too ).
The character customization really needs an update imo.
It'd be a clever business strat too if we wanna look at it from that pov, a lot of people would fantasia for new options.

I have to agree a lot are looking dated...I have been here for 12 years and Miqo are really showing now with the thin eyebrows, and I agree the faces need work as does the whole body shape (as in we need some shape)

The Viera and poor Hrothgar lack the hair I know but lately it seem all hairstyles have stopped. Au Ra need to choose the Horns....we need a massive overhaul maybe that is what they can do for the next major expac ^^

At this rate, I don't really care to pick a favorite style for upcoming ones...

as long as it doesn't look extremely similar to stuff we already have. Even if I don't like a certain style, I'm more for diversity than just repeating the same silhouette over and over.

It would be great if all Races had access to all the Racelocked Hairstyles which only specific Races have, like the Bob haircut which only female Lalafell and Elezen get to use or the female Au'ra Hime haircut.

Also, give us more Facepaints/Makeup options and allow Au'ra to seperately choose Horns and Face, while were at it.

I want more beards. There is exactly one full beard in the game as far as I can tell, and it is locked to ONE of the faces for the male Hyur Highlander. This is a travesty.

Also, can we get real eyebrows? Why are my Highlander's eyebrows optional things I have to paint on? lol

I think that it's high time they unlocked the hairstyles.

I get that they wanted the races to have their own cultural styles and that's fine I can respect that to some extent.
But we're so deep into the game now that I think it doesn't make sense.
From a lore pov I own some of the ones from the mogstation and I simply think of it as people in the game sharing it with me or my character taking inspiration.
When I was playing NG+ for EW for example I bought Lyse's Stormblood outfit for SHB and in the narrative I thought of it as a parting gift.

I think it makes sense and there's no real reason anymore why races can't have access to all of it.

The Viera’s have a hairstyle that has a helmet attached to it… would look really strange and out of place on other races because of the two holes where bunny ears should be. Also ngl a lot of races would look 'out of theme' wearing Viera hair

I really doubt SE will remove race lock hairs in a timely manner. It’s taken SE over 2 years to give Viera 6 hairstyles - honestly if this is something they consider it’s most likely gonna take them up until Yoshi-P’s retirement (10 years) to remove race locked hair and will come at the cost of neglecting other important things

At this point asking for new, improved and higher quality hairstyles is more efficient instead of SE going back and fixing old hairs to each race

Id like some more unkempt or wild hair cause im honestly tired of seeing all these well combed and neat hairs.

It’s just their armour, they’ve never had tails throughout the FF series (as far as I’m aware anyway)

I mentioned this exact thing in that Wishlist thread a couple weeks ago. The option to have the base of a hairstyle, such as Great Lengths, and apply the bangs of other hairstyles, like Lightnings. I can't believe this game has gone on for this long without such a hairstyle available to us.

SE could take a good look at Lost Ark and see some good masc hair styles.

I totally agree. I find it annoying so many hairstyles have wasted potential due to lack of bangs or something else
