Viera males should be smaller like Au Ra females

Lol people rlly do have some odd view on female au ra.
They got more adult feature face. So you are saying that my mom is a teenager cuse she is shorter than me and an asian? Which IS a very common height for us japanese. Jeezu.

I mean sure. But then they rlly need to add teenage version of our existing races. Also have a gm following you.

Yo like... Hyur and Miqo'te are kind of neutral on the feminity and smol scale. We should have one race of men that isn't chibi and is small and cute by it's very nature.

I would prefer if male Viera would look similar like Au Ra. I personally don't want to play children like characters.

Maybe I was just communicating my meaning poorly, but most people in the thread kept pushing "we should just get more options for everybody" instead of "there should be smaller skinnier males to contrast the muscular males in the same way that there's smaller skinnier females to contrast the muscular females". Apparently variety is bad.

Lol, after seeing a massive compilation of search infos gathered from prominent ERP servers, I'm strongly against it.

If they release male vieras, they need to look like someone that is a warrior. If Yoshi-p imagines that males should look elegant and tall, akin to Elezen, I'm also fine with it. But no twinks, no.

He didn't say anything about what they looked like, just described their culture and how the males live completely alone in the forest. So perhaps people are extrapolating from that description that they must be rather wild-looking, but it was never actually said.

The erp what would surround the male viera will be exactly the same as the erp what WILL surround the female viera. Why..why are so many concerned about the former? I'm really confused.

No thanks, the main reason some people want male viera to be short is for erp purposes.

I suspect they want to play a short character because it helps with being "submissive".

Let's not cater to the fantasies of pervs, and make them how they should be made. Tall warrior-like.

Yeah, hence the 'meh' - square isn't consistent. The concept art on the female Au'ra was perfect but bleh, they wanted mini wifus.

I have doubts they'd add in Feol though since we saw two of the clans already - but hey, they might surprise us.

I like how the discussion has mostly just been one side calling the other creepy and only wanting short viera for erp purposes, which is silly and very presumptuous.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other, but I think the idea of shorter males would be a fun role reversal of the Au Ra, especially since male bunnies tend to be smaller than females, I wouldn't want them super short mind you, not Alphinaud sized, maybe around miqo'te sized would be a nice range.

I don't know, very few have any problems with very tall males and petite females in the au ra, but reverse the genders and suddenly its completely unacceptable and creepy, sounds like a double standard to me.

Idk about others but I have no problem with males being shorter then the females. My issue is if they ended up being smol and cute. This art work here shows what I want strong, elegant, and fierce. A good compliment to the females.

If we're to have male Viera, they'd better be the prime physical specimens here. Would be a beautiful race across the board.

Why do people think shorter male viera would be cute? Female viera are sexy looking, male viera would be just as dreamy. Sounds like people who think shorter male viera will end up like cute tweens is kinda twisted in there way of thinking.

Only one face on male Au Ra to me looks "old" and it's the one nobody uses. Female au ra really don't look like high-school girls to me. You can be thin and short and not be in high-school.

Male Au Ra only has one face that makes them look like a older man.

For female Au Ra, they actually have one face that actually looks very mature. Just nobody uses it because as expected, people rather play the cuter/younger looking faces.

Honestly I would rather have Viera males as small and cute roughly the size of an Au Ra female. Aside from rabbit ears the artwork there doesn't show much difference to me vs what we have already for options on males. Many of us want more variety in male choices than tall muscular people that look like they live at the gym all day and in extremes drink 14 protein shakes per day or a 3ft tall potato.

I second this.

I must have a different view on what is muscular because to me midlanders, elezens and miqo bois are not muscular but athletic like someone who swims, runs or plays sports on a semi regular basis. The only muscular races are roes, highlanders and auris.

I'm also in the boat that I can't imagine how a smol cute bunny boi could be a fierce warrior who is put through rigorous training that dwindles their already few numbers with the sole purpose of then being their homelands protectors.

Male Au Ra appearance is quite variable, I think - and the default "passport photos" we get here aren't the best representation of what they actually look like.

My alt looks really grumpy on his profile picture, but even just changing the angle can soften that appearance, and can look quite different 'in action' and smiling. I assume the others might have a similar effect? But we don't see Au Ra NPCs much.

This is the youngest-looking of the four faces, but 'Magnai-face' is still fairly young-looking. The other one with the backward-pointing horns looks a bit older, though I don't see it being used much, and of course there's the one definitely middle-aged face.

Their emotes definitely suit a more young and enthusiatic personality.

I found a good height-comparison shot of Alisaie and my zero-height (157cm) Midlander:

From measuring the image with a ruler, it looks like Alisaie is probably around 145cm, not counting her platform shoes.

The minimum heights for male Midlander and Miqo'te are 168cm and 159cm, respectively.

Well if i can believe a lalafell can lift a huge sword and cleave their enemies in two, I can suspend my disbelief that some lean bunny men can be fast and stealthy enough to go all vorpal bunny on their enemies. lmao

Besides the females have a varying degree of muscle mass as well, you can toogle the toned look off, so why can't we do the same with the dudes?
don't get me wrong, i'll want some definition for my male viera but that doesn't mean i wont support those that dont.
