The live chat in twitch was going nuts about "how come bots aren't there?" , to which "ranking" suggests either there are not as many bots as people think there are, or harassment far outshines bots for action taken.

Not sure how RMT is 5th place when you see weekly (bi-weekly?) reports on thousands of RMT bans lol. What? Is this a blind eye approach from SE?

Unless they're bundling up botters in inappropriate conduct.

Yeah, they put up an explanation on what happens if you use 3rd party programs. The slide was basically common knowledge for most and not addressing the real issue many players asked on the LL QA thread.

They'd have to be excluding those gil-farming bots from the equation for botting/RMT to not be occupying a higher spot on that list, as there's an endless cycle of 100+ bots being created, then eventually banned being repeated across several different servers several times a month.

I seriously doubt that harassment reports outnumber the bans being issued to those bots, so I'm honestly thinking they're just doing damage control by not mentioning it.

What's more annoying to me is that the same gathering bots are allowed to persist as long as they have when they explicitly stated that they monitor PvP bots for repetitive actions then use their behavior as a guide for mass banning bots exhibiting similar behavior.

I know that, but as soon as possible is not acceptable, if it was said in a week, while a long time for something that we should know asap, it would've been acceptable and if they had to delay it for some reason I could've been more forgiving.
Considering that comunications ARE a problem not for the quality but for the quantity, I seriously doubt we are asking for too much

So... a question, since Yoshi P has never graced our server with his presence before. What are these events like? Other than a mad gathering of people. Do they go to a specific place?

This is not simply communication. This is promotion. Big difference. Communication by itself would be the Yoshi walk in NA, which while this is similar, it has a different intent.

No, it's a weapon for us to use.

As said this is a precedent and the fact that they announced it is even bigger. I don't understand what's so hard to grasp here, we can use it as an argument about communications with the community and if they won't happen again we need to remind them they come to us when it was useful to them

This would mean something if the outcome has weight. But it doesn't, lets be real. But we can agree to disagree, and unless this is happening often regardless of reason, aka yoshi does these at random in NA and EU too, us using the "you only visit us when you want something" holds zero weight.

Its no different than if they do a Full Active Time Event in the US or EU to promote something vs how they are promos in JP but they happen more often. I understand the home-front and don't expect equal weight. I just saw that we have the same gear design contest release because its something "important", but it doesn't address concerns.

We have communication, we just get the advertisements because adverts.

It is more a marketing move than a real communication move.

FFXIV and SE, for some years dont comunicate, they only do promotion move. This is what most people dont understand. Speaking, saying "sorry, we messed up with this housing patch" after 3 years of messing up is not communicate...

I think, Yoshida's team was thinking to a way to make people less angry... After 4.2 glamour, Eureka, this LL, the lost of the translation, the 9 dollars emote. All those thing in 2018 that make many "bad speak" ...

Ok, just say you want to rant and don't care about what happens, I'll be more productive and remember this when time comes, you keep doing whatever you feel like doing

when Yoshi has something to say to us he has a translator so the info crosses languages as close as they can get it across. If this is just him and Sokken hopping NA servers for shiggles, I don’t expect much more than the two emoting in a mob of players.

Since theres no language barrier for him and the JP players, these server walks work like Q&As. Every now and then he'll start a pf and he + whoever is fast enough to join run a trial together.

Yoshida had shown up on non JP servers before. The problem is that its not really that often and I am not really sure if they gave much informations on such visits. Also I am quite sure that they will have stuff to do there and I am quite sure that a lot of players will just want to have screenshots with him and not ask about negative views of the community.

Its great that they do that from time to time but like others have said, its mostly just promotion.

Someone on reddit did kinda point out that it would be funny if they got a lot of connection problems. :') Maybe they would finally change something.

In all seriousness though, I wish they did these types of things more often, just for fun without promoting anything in particular.

The only thing they really added since this thread was made... was.. chobobo bag? the beta glam dresser, and a little to no impact chobobo bag? The only change worth noting is the 999 item stack thing, but this even went in detail about overuse of repetitive items. How did this get ignored and forgotten after a while?

Then "retainer management" is being paywalled?!?!?!?! Where does it say "I will pay an extra 5 dollars every month because SE rushed out 2.0?" Why are we giving them a pass for turning 1.0 around? Even though yeah it must of been amazing, the thing is, it was still rushed, and we now have to, pay for it now, literally.

And an expanded inventory and armoury on Stormblood's release. Don't forget about that (since that thread was created before SB came out). They also replaced Accuracy with Direct Hit and Parry with Tenacity, put beast tribe tokens in the currency tab and stuff about housing.

They didn't do everything requested in that thread, but it's pretty silly to say things were left unanswered (I don't believe they ever posted in the Unplayable Latency thread back in the 2.0 days, yet they still tried to fix it on 2.1's release).

I refuse to pay 5 extra dollars a month because they did not succeed in what they "tried" to attempt. Also we have a ton of things that needs to be in that currency tab. I find it insulting how little they can change and have people go "oh was better then before so it is ok" (then turn around charge extra on things we should of hand since 2.0 but ofc didn't because of rushing it), hence the line I said. No it is not fixed, Stop charging us more and more because you rushed out 2.0~!!! enough is enough, OVERHAUL THE CORE!!! I do not car how hard it is or how much cost it is, reap what you sow, you shouldn't of rushed out 2.0 then.

THey are not giving us enough space for the amount of items this game has to be able to craft effectively, esp when you are making that your main thing and just craft all day. It is a real pain getting items from x or y because something sold and not everything is in your inventory for that item because you do not have enough room. Then you make that item and you have to switch out materials again because something else sold.

It is real hard to get your point across when there is so few that craft like that, not understanding what it is like. We need more room, we need more room for fish bait, and cul in general. Like that thread said, start removing items if it is too hard on their servers, but no they do not because they want to charge another sub fee for basic UI features that would of been in this game since 2.0 I did not insist on rushing out 2.0, Quality > quantity/ speed.

The armory expand is not an achievement, you either do that, or do not release no jobs, that is literally a REQUIREMENT to keep the game playable.

Still sucks, Now you have 2/3 caster classes not wanting spell speed and yet most of the gear has spell speed on it, why? Why is there such a bias for BiS BLM only?

FC chest is still a huge problem

I really had it with retainers and all the fees:
This means it should be looked into getting rid of retainers holding on items completely, give us a real bank, and just have retainers do VENTURES ONLY.

That should be done at this point. Stop making us pay extra for 2.0 being rushed out.

Actually, I think this is probably the area SE really needs to solicit feedback on. It's understandable that they'd be nervous holding back on development for 6-12 months to fix back-end architectural issues. Speaking to the community is how they get permission to do precisely that. I'm done, My sub runs out in less than 10 days and I have already canceled the auto-renew. Its a shame, i did enjoy it playing but in light of such damning evidence, i'm out...

That is not my goal. My goal is to improve this game, so I can come back to a franchise I legit like.

I bought plenty of stuff just because of the "SE" name on it (more so square soft), but now I question such things.

I do realize this post is possibly sarcastic, and if it is, done in very poor taste. I do not think this is the time and place for such a thing. I also wanted be clear what my goals are, encase someone does get the wrong idea on why I am here.

Not sarcastic, I have canceled my sub. But if there is anything else that makes me want to quit, its the forums.

The bug report section is probably one of the biggest examples of lack of communication being an issue, because I see several bugs that have sufficient descriptions of how to trigger them (Including ones I've triggered myself) being labeled as "insufficient information".

If they don't say anything, we have no idea what other information they need to fix the glitch or recreate it properly.

The biggest example of this is that I and several others have posted about the issue where joining in on attacking a target that has already had several players attacking it before you results in you not being flagged as "in combat" until you hit a certain enmity threshold, which seriously messes up MCH's opener due to not being able to generate heat with Flamethrower among other things. However, every instance has been flagged as "insufficient information" despite said bug being so mind-numbingly simple to trigger...

I just checked your post on the bug report forum and the reason your bug report was being labeled as "Insufficient Information" is that you are not following the template that they set. As this is about communication, how cant you figure out that, this&that right there is the actual issue, invaliding/discarding & ignoring.
Here's an example:Players claim that SE consider bigger threads over several threads(Now I dont know if that's true,but if it was then you could have 1000 players saying the same thing scattered around & it would truthfully be in vain) & no I wont gather & tally up everything to make a megathread, that's not for me to do so... but yes for someone to do so to actually get an attempt for us to be visible in here,,, That would be an attempt at getting/giving us better communication,but as of right now,say hi to the monologue... as (invalid/discard & ignore)

It would been nice if there was more to it and more talking back to the players but that wasn't the main goal of this. It was just to play some of the dungeons that had the featured music. It was nice, I do enjoy the music but it would be nice to have more serious meetings time to time.

I am just really sad that we had some threads with a bigger amount of likes, one even had 200+ and not a single post from a GM..in the german forum we had a thread about bullying and a mod went out of their way to post a huge answer to the discussion going on. This was the first time that I ever saw a mod really discussing something and I wish we had more such mods here. I know that they cant do much but nothing at all is really sad too..

I wish they would have during live letter a English speaking translator or words on bottom translating what yoshida and the other person say!! I don't understand why they don't have one!!
