Questions regarding Stormblood Pre-orders or Collector's Edition

I registered my digital CE the day preorders started. It will only show early access on your account page for now.

Hmm thats strange since I can't even register the CE seperate key, do you also have a steam account?

You can't register that yet. Steam users get both of their keys immediately, but the CE keys only activate upon release. Other users get their CE keys on release.
It was the same with Heavensward.

I play on PC, but not STEAM.

I've only found it for regular edition so far and not the collector's edition.

It's probably going to be a similar size box to the physical Heavensward Collector's Edition, especially as the Zenos statue and the artbook that will be coming with it will require much larger packaging. As a guide, measuring my HW CE box with a ruler, the dimensions for that are 19.7cmX16.8cmX26.6cm (I have no idea what that is in inches I'm sorry). So the SB CE box would probably be a similar (possibly slightly larger) size, given the Zenos statue appears to be much larger than even the Middy statue that came with HW.

Im sure this might have been asked already but wondering if you pre ordered the PS4 CE from PSN do you get codes for early access and the in game items? Pre ordered a while ago now and have not received any codes but do see greyed out Stormblood early access attached on my SE account. Thanks.

It's strange, I don't see any changes at my mogstation. Preordered SB for PS4 about a month ago and on my mogstation it still looks like I didn't purchase anything at all...

It's already been taken care of. If you ordered through the PlayStation store your account is flagged as having ordered it and nothing else is required on your part but if you ordered through the Square store you would have received an e-mail with instructions on what to do.

For someone who doesn't really understand graphic cards and the like and how one compares to another, and thus has no idea if he could run Stormblood, could you or someone else explain how much higher the system requirements for Stormblood are, compared to HW.

If i order the physical CE, will it be in my mail the same day i can play stormblood? Or will i need to wait for the mail in order to play

You will have a few days after launch to play, but will have to put in your game code the moment your shipment arrives. Since physical versions launch around launch date, they do give us those few days for the game to arrive, so we can still enjoy it. I believe HW was like a week after launch, where people could still play without their game keys bound to their account.

In regards to pre-ordering the normal, Windows version digital copy from Amazon:

Am I supposed to get an email with a preorder code to enter in the mogstation? I heard there was a fiasco with Amazon not releasing the early access codes for HW until it was released.

This decides whether or not I pull my preorder and make my purchase at the mogstation instead. I apologize if this has already been answered.

Yes, you're supposed to.

(With the Heavensward ones, Amazon took a long time to get the issue with their pre-order codes sorted out, but I think they all managed to get out by the time early access started. It was cutting it really close, though. I ordered mine from them May 14th 2015 and didn't get a pre-order code until June 17th. Early Access started June 19th.)

Hopefully, they won't take that long this time around. But if you've ordered from them and haven't gotten a pre-order code, I'd recommend checking with their customer service about it.

I expect at least a 20% fps slowdown in new areas and about 5-10% everywhere due the new UI.

Is there anyway we can get the code for the Stormblood theme, and avatar (I think I heard of there being one), with our Square Enix online store pre orders? World of Final Fantasy gave me the PS4 theme pre order with my CE, but with FFXV's UCE, I never got the theme. This is a bit disappointing to me. I'm spending over 200$ for the PS4 collectors version of Stormblood, and I feel like I should get all of the digital stuff that the PSN customers get too.

PSN is a different retailer then SE store and been pretty common practice that different retailers get different pre-order bonuses if any are being given out.

The PSN is only the digital version and will only get the digital collectors items so if you pre-ordered the Physical one you already get what the PSN version gets plus more like the statue and cloth map.

If you pre-ordered the physical one you get part of what the PSN version gets, but not all of it. The PSN version also includes a PS4 theme that isn't available if you buy from SE. (I think the same was true with the Heavensward one IIRC.) If you want the physical CE items, you have to order from SE, but if you want the theme you have to order from PSN. If you want both, you're out of luck.

If you want both, order physical for PC and digital off of PSN.

Only applicable if you use both platforms though.

You wont get a code your account will be flagged as having pre-ordered and and everything is already taken care of

If people have trouble making ends meet, they likely have trouble getting approved for credit such as PayPal offers. Perhaps a lay-away plan of some sort would be an option, where payments are made until the product is paid for and the product is not shipped until it has been paid in full. That way SE gets all of their money and the not-so-rich player gets something more than a basic edition for a change.

So perhaps read to post in context inside of you thinking I'm telling people to go get in debt over a video game. If they have such trouble making ends meet they should not be buying a $200 version regardless how it paid for.

So I have a question master-devs. I preordered my PS4 version of the Collector's edition on the PSN. I have gotten no email. Do I need some code if I ordered from the PSN and where do I get that code? Also I ordered it like.... 2 weeks ago I think, or 3.

This same question has been asked several times. You wont get a code if ordered through the PSN everything is automatic through them and nothing else needs to be done on your part. So when the game updates for early access all you'll do is download the update and continue playing.

My friend doesn't have Heavensward (I know that it's included with all versions of Stormblood), if he pre-orders Stormblood will he have access to the new areas or will the areas be locked behind quests?

Locked behind quests until your friend catches up on the main story.
