Well , if the newbies take a potion to 60 and then practice 1 to few day and get a skip on the story well .. we dont care :) lets them play as they want and be happy.

A new want do a normal lv up he will do what you said. Roulette, fate farm etc.

I think the potion will cost 2 months of sub or more. Its really somethings special.

One thought about content skipping items is that currently the MSQ requirement to get to Heavensward, has slowed the infiltration of HW by RMT farm bots. I would not want any purchase-able item to be abuse-able by RMT. I dislike these kinds of items and am opposed to them. but I do think that if SE goes ahead with this, they need to be very careful with the implementation to prevent RMT abuse.

If they're priced at $50-60, it wouldn't be cost efficient for RMTs. Case in point, Balmung and Gilgamesh see virtually no RMT/Bot spam because it'd requiring paying for a transfer. Most companies that offer these services have pirated the game to limit their cost. Those who haven't, well, $20 isn't much, especially when you factor forty characters for a regular sub. $2000 on the other hand...

Ya, honestly, the only other compromise I could make to this ordeal is just add instant warps to each destination, cause yes, it's long and tedious to run back and forth, forward and back and forward and back to each NPC talking to them especially before getting a chocobo. If they could cut down on all the time wasted on all the running, then ya I could see the MSQ being more bearable to deal with. But in it's current form it's asking a lot to force new players to go through 2yrs of content just to get to the new stuff.

It seems many are worried that we will have level 60 players who don't know their job/role.

A simple way to fix it is to offer a totrial to teach them their basic combos. Just like in a single player or story focused game where you begin with a totorial and it is somehow related to the story or a dream your character is having. There are many way that they could do this.

Later in game they could get help from mentors and other players. Since new players will have the green leaf above their heads people will know what to expect from them. I am glad our comunity is healthy compared to other MMORPGs.

We have the tools to remove them from groups if they are greatly under performing. People keep acting like this large amount of people are just going to buy a jump potion when that is likely not the case. I only see only a small portion of players and people who want to make alts taking advantage of it.

I'm psyched for leveling potions if only to get my alts up to buy rooms in my fc house.

That said I am a bit worried over house horders and gilsellers getting thos new tool.

I guess in a perfect world I'd be happy for us to have this, but in the real world I'm not sure its a good idea.

I liked the part in the interview about the girl in red..apparently we will know who and what she is by 3.5

So does that mean if he doesn't announce dancer at JP fan fest we aren't getting dancer? But then wouldn't that mean its a spoiler for 3.5 if he did announce it?..

It's all confusing with the vagueness lol

The big take aways for me were the discussion about the cross class to shared role skill adjustment, job specific UI afjustment, skill pruning/skill volume goals, rotational tuning to reduce penalty for dropping sustained buffs, and substat adjustments.

Can't wait for LL's, 3.5, and more fanfests to reveal more about the story. New jobs, and system changes that are coming.
