It's copying a lot from CT's storyline, and Mide says a bunch about herself that only really makes sense in contrast with those earlier events. Considering Cid and his crew are involved in both, I'd say they're both part of a larger meta-arc about the scattered remnants of Allag and their various long-term plans for the future. Which will hopefully be part of the MSQ when it takes us to Garlemald.
I have a feeling the CT might come back into the MSQ eventually. I mean you have a massive Aetheric conduit and battery, capable of at least channeling and releasing enough Aether to trigger a calamity on probably a global scale, sitting right next to the most likely physical location of the 'Source'. If we are dealing with godmode powers at some point in the distant future I could see it being used.
However Im not aware of any real connection with Alexander or the Xaela to the Allag. I was kind of surprised you had a scholarly and technologically advanced Xaela group to be honest, since it sounds like most of the clan operates in a relatively low tech if not outright superstitious nomadic lifestyle. The roaming nature of Alexander certainly fits with their culture though.
mmmm i think hydaelyn can be the the bad guy in this story whe dont know nothing about zodiark opinion and story, whe only have hydaelin words about what happen and now she is weak and want us to stop how want to dethrone in the balance.
but is only a theory ^^.
The whole story about Hydaelyn and Zodiark use to be one then being seperated only for Elidibus to say that they must be one again in order to bring balance..it reminds me waay too much of the Soul Calibur series XD
