Valmar can't make it to a progression thread he's still working on holding aggro in Garuda EX and i don't know if the new turn will have a "buy it now" button on his new server.

Managed to figure out the trick to Garuda Ex, its not asking this guy Chance Hawk to off tank with you. ;)

Pretty sure you are the only ones doing it, so just call it FFXIV server first savage mode. As for adding it to this thread I figured with all the trolling at this point no one cared.

Savage mode is the most fun I've had in this game in a while and more groups should do it

Idk seems not super legit to me.

Just because everyone else sucks is not a reason to not track progress, how else will I stroke my epeen.

PS I think Mimic is starting savage, maybe they will kill T6 who knows.

Alright Ferg, I'll update it for you then. Give me a bit though, ton of my plate atm. I can say though we probably aren't going to bother with it. If SE had put it on a different lockout and eliminated the loot, sure. However at current implementation we just decided it is too much of an irritation to bother with. Though to be fair I think it boils down to us largely just not giving much of a crap until the expansion at this point.

My whm gone for a month so can't do savage til next week @_@

If you have t9 on farm I see no reason why you shouldn't put in attempts at savage before you clear. It saddens me that everyone is blowing off savage since SE said they would use interest to gauge if they will implement similar things in the future. It's cool content and much better designed mechanics/fights.

Maybe only I think this way, but the point of gear is:
A. To be able to do content
B. To look cooler than other people that haven't obtained it yet

Savage is new content. Who cares if it doesn't drop gear, it's tuned for the gear you have. Again, the point of gear is to be strong enough to do the content that the game offers, isn't it? So again again, who gives a fuck about gear if SE is throwing non-tiered content at us.

Also, exclusive titles. How could you not want a bomb ass title that will become unobtainable next patch.

Yes because streaming league every day for a few hours takes up a lot of time. If he can't keep up with the thread let someone else take over.

i happen to have 2 characters in 2 different coil statics.... and both are currently working on our own progression. i never said that i personally have a problem with doing the savage modes, just that it doesn't offer much reward for many people. note that i did not say all. there are people who are actively working on it, and i wished them well.

Oh, it wasn't that I "had to." I could have left well enough alone, or taken a different approch, but some people get so riled up over nothing that I would be doing the community a disservice if I did not antagonize a little bit. Besides, my inference and twisted response was confirmed true in-game by others, so I am validated.

I got on fine with most of them while I was in DH. A few got bitter when some of us left, and there are a couple whose ability doesn't live up to their ego, but that's where the fun happens. I mean, whining about how easy fights such as the primals are, yet unwilling to try the challenging content because it doesn't drop a new shiny?

ahhhh old fc drama, i see. yeah i dont tend to get involved in that sort of thing too much these days.

there are PLENTY of people on this server (probably this game) who have egos that nowhere compare to their actual abilities. *shrugs* takes all kinds.

personally, i just wish it wasnt an either/or with savage/regular coil 2. not a fan of the way lock outs work, in general, in this game. but then, what do i know? :)
