That is indeed the premium stuffed moogle. If you don't feel like splurging, maybe add a little line of them or see if a tiny one looks decent enough?

I couldn't help it...I had to do it..I'm sorry °_°

The funny thing is, most people so far don't even realize it, since even in real life, big fish just silently lurking in the background is a pretty normal thing.
But one friend did notice it and was like "DID YOU. DIDYOU JUST PUT A DEAD FISH IN YOUR FISHTANK!!" xD
Additionally added 2 Wall Planters on top of it with the floating trick (and 2 on the other side) which I think looks very nice :)
^^ I love this! Question: what has the better fish? Saltwater or fresh? Subjective yes, but in your opinion? What's the one above?
Worked the glitch trick a bit and made a custon chandelier (however spelled). Wanted something with more of a somber/heavensward feel then something cute so~

Wouldve used a ruby carbie lamp for the middle, but with lights off, looked like my apartment was suffering from poltergeists and electrical problems lol. Either way, thought the dim light effect came out decent enough.

Side note..four yellow carbie lamps mightve looked even better. Guess me take another shot if ishgard apartments/housing ever happens lol.
That is very cool! Your apartment looks awesome.
Pe-patch I went through all the fish that currently exist to get all I like before prices skyrocket (didn't expect SE to only include models for 14 fish xD). I got about 50 fish in total, of which about 2/3 to 3/4s are freshwater fish.
That is mainly because I like colorful ones instead of the grey/brown "boring" ones. Lots of fish you'd expect to see in a coral reef are actually freshwater fish in FFXIV, for whatever reason.
It also has a lot more small and medium sized fish, which is helpful for smaller aquariums since 1 big fish will take up all the space and you won't be able to have more than one fish in the entire fishtank.
Saltwater has a lot of interesting shapes and forms though, so if that is your thing, there might me more for you :)
As for the fish that currently have a model already: 3 freshwater fish I think fit well in an aquarium, 1-2 for saltwater.
Which seems right highly depends on the size of your aquarium though, as the size+fishslot number is fairly restrictive.
At least you won't have to worry about the aquarium decorations - both versions work with both types of water, so you can pick which you think works best with the fish you have swimming around in it :o
The one in the picture is freshwater :)

Just sharing this in case someone finds it useful. I think we've all realized by now that aquariums have a very generously small clipping radius, so you can actually stick it quite far into the walls of your apartment/house before the targeting reticule turns purple.
I've been doing this because the aquariums are a bit too thick for my liking, but one issue with this is that the pathing of the fish inside stays the same. This means that if you stick it too far into the wall you'll see your fish swimming into and out of the wall. I just made it look a bit more natural by sticking a wall planter in there so it looks like they are disappearing in and out of foilage instead of clipping into the wall like ghosts.
thank you Rymm, i just couldn't make out those manor desks :)
Since stages (or at least the round stage) are considered a table, you can't put items on it that aren't tabletop items, I suppose? Was trying to put the harp on it but yeah, no dice.
fish optional, can /doze on bed and /sit on 2 different spots on the bed, retainer and aesthetician both accessible from inside the room!

Primal, Exodus, Goblet, Ward 9, Plot 34(subdivision)
really unsure about where to put the towel rack
I accidentally posted it in the other thread when I meant to do it in this one
Does anyone by chance own the Royal Plotting table and/or the Eorzean Map table and can check if they are higher, lower or about the same height as the Oriental Round Table? :x
(would be awesome if you even had a screenshot of the height difference!)
I have something in mind but both are so ridiculously expensive right now that I'm not too keen on buying them blind :/
Hi Atoli, hope this helps (^_^)/

Waah, thank you SO much <3
Now I'm even more glad I didn't buy them just to try it out, since the height difference is quite big after all :x
Too bad my plan won't work out, but better than to spend a lot of Gil and then see it won't work xD
Thanks again for doing this :)
@Eorzean map table: found someone ingame to try it out and the height is just perfect, but the map is larger than I expected..xD

I actually created a thread requesting for this, it's pretty much dead though. Maybe there wasn't as many people who would like to have it as I thought...
I thought Alexander would be a nice accessory for the aquarium :3
The Copperfish is swimming around Alexander perfectly. Adorable!

Little update to a few things I did at my house. I redesigned my Tarutaru servents area. They now have REAL "Furniture" suited to them. Even added a step stool behind their counter to get to the shelf. All made with Manor Music Stands and an Oasis lamp to fit on the "counter" The other desk you all know. Had to add another Glade lamp tho since the one on desk doesnt light up.

Updated my Magitek Runic Mystic Powerup Alter. ^^

Finally a new update to my outside of the house. Autumn style! Also Mini Crystal works well to light up the eastern tree.

Btw, anyone know what I could use as a step infront of the manor desk alter? Want that lil gap covered and be a step same time.
This is so perfect! Can you tell me how you got the Alexander to look like it's resting at the bottom of the aquarium like that? I'm trying to do something similar with a Sophia, which I'm placing on top of an Oriental Round Table, but every time I exit edit mode, the aquarium jumps up on the table!
EDIT: Nevermind! I got it to work by setting the table in a side of the aquarium, rather than the middle.
Unfortunately the trick does require an amount of spacing between the object and anything it could attach to. If there's not enough it will decide it's supposed to be on the nearest table/floor (or wall/partition for wall mounted) when leaving edit mode as you've discovered. You would have to put the fish tank up a bit higher and maybe use a wall shelf to adjust the placement if you didn't want to have the table in place.
Good to know! That wasn't in the guides I read. I'll have to figure out how I'd like to raise the aquarium...I've designed the room around it as a focal point between bookshelves, so I can't do one of those large, elevated platforms without having to rework at least half the room.
my Aquarium is on top of two oasis counters, so in my case I used a wall with a shelf to place Alexander there. It's a lot of testing though, to have the Miniature sit perfectly at the bottom of the aquarium.
Then I placed the aquarium somewhere else, used the glitch on alexander and put the aquarium back in place.
As fox has mentioned, the floating trick require a minimum amount of parallel spacing between the floating object and the closest parallel surface in order to work. Will need some trial and error to work around it. Just one thing to take note, for the wall mount object, you can utilize the pillars to reduce the minimum spacing as the pillars will prevent the wall mount furniture to stick. Pretty much the only use I have for the pillars really. Hope we get an option to remove them someday.
Does the furniture glitch work on the corner house pillars? Back then I managed to make a banner stick to the window via the glitch, so I've been trying to place a Nymian Wall Lantern on a corner pillar. The thing is, it just hovers in midair there instead of sticking to the pillar...
It doesn't stick to the pillars, but you can put it "closer" to the wall as opposed to the walls. Which may be a good thing depending on your idea.
Corner pillars are going to be hard to do since you have to glitch it on the partition and those can only be placed so far back. You're still going to end up with a gap.
Here's some stuff I made hope u guys like it just click on imgur! I do need your help though. I need your opinions on which shrine looks better withe the rainbow or with leviathan thanks a bunch Aloha!

What have people been using to get aquariums, especially the tier 4, to float higher than ground level? Especially the ones that touch the ceiling? Is it mostly just stacking the same thing...?
I'm more partial to trees. Maybe if the tree version had different flora behind the bench? I might just be hating on the leviathan fountain because I had such a horrible time trying to get the angle of the built in bench and statue to work until it finally got removed from our FC yard.
