It's funny, because I play on PS3 and never understood people complaining about the graphics... until I went and watched some Youtube vidoes of Coil Turn 4 and 5 (because god forbid I attempt to join a group and don't already know exactly what to do), and saw the videos from the viewpoint of someone on a nice PC.
Wow, completely different game.
I still like the comfort of being able to play on my couch while looking at my 60 inch TV, but, I have to admit that the graphics and framerate are severely gimped.
I'd have no problem with SE going to PS4 only at the next expansion (even though it would mean I'd either need to invest in a PS4 or a higher end PC)

Also unlike FFXI which was released very close to the PS2 launch, ARR was released right when the PS3's life was ending. I thought I'd hate the PS3 version but I actually enjoy it. Sure there are instances where it has trouble, like during Odin FATES. There is some delay at times, but I've been playing MMOs since the dialup days. I'm used to compensating for lag discrepancies.
The only thing that really sucks is trying to click on things during boss encounters. Near impossible to do Aurum Vale for that reason alone.
Also the PS3 targeting system needs some better logic, it has a nasty habit of skipping monsters directly in front of my character. -

best part is yoshi lied through his teeth. they almost hit a home run w/ this game until they got greedy. Now they wont be releasing a DX11 client for atleast a year, all of a sudden, the ps4 launch (expected) and the next xpac (bs) come well before it.
not to mention they are consistently and continually dumbing down a game which had the potential to be the best of both worlds. The features the casuals whine over, yet the challenges that allow some diversity in the population.
Ah well, as much as i intended this to be my home for some years.. its going to simply be intermediary. Like most games these days. Fortunately Pantheon (if it ever launches) will be a huge change this genre needs. Till then we will see how wildstar and Elder Scrolls Online do.

and GDI the dx11 client was said to be 6 months post release. It IS 6 months post release and now your talking another 6-12mo? Seriously? You could have had it at launch but you just HAD to have the ps3 client when you KNEW the ps3 was done in a few months time. Could have just launched it as a Ps4 game, since your giving everyone the new game for free anyhow.

While I'm not disagreeing that it will hold back the potential of future updates, the amount of hyperbole in your original post is hilarious, and blatant nonsense to anyone who ACTUALLY plays on PS3. While there are popup issues in populated areas, if you're genuinely suffering from that in that area, as well as that frame rate if it's actually true, then that's a problem with your specific machine, ha. You're entitled to be annoyed but don't make out that it's a world of difference from the PC version when it isn't.

Raise minimum requirements for PC. The recommend should be the minimum.
IntelCore i5, GTX 660 or better vid card, 4gb ram. You don't have this or better you shouldn't be playing the game on the Pc! -

They don't need to do that, just have a different resolution and options for ps4 and pc gamers, so the ps3 players can play the game as long as the want without holding us (pc and ps4 users) on stuff they can implement, they did that in ffxi, the game looked really different in ps2 than pc, in time they will migrate to other systems
