Lack of things to actually do though at endgame is a good reason though. They want you to keep paying so they have the cap so you can't get all your gear within a week because there would be many players that would be "forced" to do so. With how the endgame currently is what exactly would you do if there was no cap and got all your af pieces in the same week? Oh faceroll through coil? because outside of Twintania that's what all those ilvl 90 pieces would allow you to do.

If there is a cap it only makes that issue sooner.. Lack of things to do that is... Technically the same amount of grind time lol... I do agree with more incentive to sub longer... However, if I were fully geared id just start on a sub - as I've already done.

And by not having a cap everyone will just want to burnout within a week getting all their gear to the point where there really will be nothing to do. with even a semi decent group af2 and +1 wep can carry you to turn 5 which is currently unkillable due to rng, so what exactly would you do with all this gear if you "earned" it all within a week?

I have plenty of FC mates to help out who aren't as fortunate to play as much as I do... I want to gear every class in the game for achievements... Etc etc I love the game - having more of it won't burn me out.

I just love how arguments go from

"Could you make getting X easier?"

to

"What do you want? Them mailing X to you for logging in?"

yea, that is a rainbow dream. And do you see them gear syncing the lvl50 dungeons castrum Meridian, Praetorium, and Amdapoor? Of course not, because. Those syncs you are talking about are due to level sync. Everything below lvl 50 your gear gets synced and your mighty ilvl gets nullified, but A lvl 50 dungeon isn't going to get any kind of syncing, because you are already level 50.

look man, you just keep on thinking they are going to sync peoples ilvl90 gear down in crystal tower. its not going to happen, and that is what I was getting at.

Rainbow dream for what? People who play for gear will quit with a 300 cap... Just as they would if they had unlimited. You are arguing bad logic.

The cap is annoying, especially given how much time you have to put into reaching it. Then once you reach the cap you're short like 20 MythTomes. Better wait for next week I guess. That said, if they made it easy and quick to grab the best items in the game right now, it'd be kind of lame because you'd have everyone parading around with the best gear so far and Patch 2.1 hasn't even arrived.

They should increase the cap for MythTomes and increase the opportunities of obtaining both kinds of Tomes. I think they should make the cap on a daily basis, like 100 MythTomes per day. Just my two cents though.

I had a buddy come up with the idea to increase the cap little by little each week. I like that.
